There are PILES of ideas I have for Steven Universe fanart. Everything from individual character focuses, special fusion pieces, nouveau themed work, a huge collage of all the characters, couples, and specific scenes from the show itself-- but I limit myself with this addiction so I can actually get some work done inbetween.
(Ugh but after this Steven Bomb the urge to draw these things is like, ten thousand times worse ;A; )
But for now have some Rose Quartz fighting during the war.

Thank youuuu! Rose Quartz is the gem I most associate with. Her whole policy on 'love over hate', protecting the weak or wounded, loving all things despite how ugly they can be, etc etc. Also her humorous nature.
UGH YES GOOSEBUMPS. That part made me tear up a bit, as well as the hologram memory of Pearl running up to Jasper and Rose as they were about to fight.
(I actually sketched Rainbow Quartz up in pen and put that in photoshop so I could digitize it, but I have to focus on commissions so the personal art I do has to be limited for now ;w; )

I cant really associate with only one gem. If I where to describe my self with them it would be Rose, Steven, Garnet, and Amethyst.

Wouldn't Jasper have been able to regenerate her form by retreating into her gem if any harm had come to her physical form?
Their bodies are illusions and their constructs can change at will. It seems the only irrevocable damage that can be done to a gem being is by cracking/shattering the gem itself. And Jasper's gem has appeared fine in every scene shes been in.

Does one of them look like Jaspers arm? If it does I'm going to kick myself because I completely missed it. 8O
My only skepticism there is that all things bubbled have a gem, but Jasper still has her gem therefore the shards that Pearl was checking on shouldn't be connected to Jasper, since a fractured gem/gem pieces would literally mean that Jasper would be "dead".
I think, based on what we've seen, that if a gem's limb was removed both the limb and the rest of the body would "poof" away, leaving only the gemstone as it regenerates it's physical form.

i dont know, i would like to think that her arm is in there, because of her peculiar mark, i feel it was just replaced. I think they only poof when they are hurt fatally. Even Garnet's parts were able to fall to the ground first before poofing. But that just my theory. Thank you for talking with me on it. i just though it would be cool.
No way dude, it's a totally cool idea! And I wouldn't be surprised if Sugar threw a curveball in there like that. If it makes you feel any less tortured over her tattoo-ish arm, the markings are also on her face. To me, it almost looks like they tried to make her look tiger-like to emphasize on her ferocity. Or maybe even some 'warpaint/amazon' symbolism there!
Either way, I enjoyed discussing it with you, it was a clever theory and I had fun piecing the facts together in my head, felt like a holmes moment ahaha. I also really hope you don't feel like our conversation was hinged on trying to disprove your idea. I know I rattled off some facts, but that doesn't make it any less of a cool theory or unthinkable. I don't see it as a possibility, but there's no way to say it wouldn't happen in the show down the line!

I thought she got cut in the face, like, what happens if a Gem was not fatally wounded and was just HEALED. Peridot is 100% artificial and so is Amethyst and Jasper. i thought they used, Like, Gem skin graphing. Idk and dont worry, as long as the other party doesnt get super mad, im all good talking about these things. Keep being a superstar in the Steven *Universe*
She's so beautiful...and the way she's crying because, despite being needed in the fight, she hates the thought of ending a life...At least, that's what i get from the picture....Seriously, just...i saw this picture, and i actually started crying. You put such emotion in this picture... Please keep drawing these amazing pieces.
