It took me about two weeks to color my characters for my comic. I love the shine on the gold parts on Zuka and I love making the jewelery and other small bits solid and with no outlines. I didn't like Clive's short hair so I changed it... and now he looks a little like Hiro from Big Hero 6. To me, Oriana's dress looks like it's a mix of Aurora and Elsa's dresses. I altered Vida's shirt and gave Shina a new look. I also didn't draw the designs on her obi and skirt, my sister bought a book on kimono designs when she was in Japan and she lent it to me which was cool since the book came with a cd with the designs so I wouldn't have to scan it all from the book. I decided to put Kohaku and Shina's ears on top their heads and I decided make Kohaku's left bangs white. They gain a tail every time they live ahundred years, which makes Kohaku around 400 and Shina is around 150 and will gain her second tail when she reaches 200. I tried to make my twins look identical but I think I failed = =. I'll just have to keep drawing them until they do look identical. Now for some quick bios for my new chars and those I haven't done bios on and for those who are first viewing this submission starting with Zuka.
Zuka
Zuka is a powerful Ancient vampire/incubus Egyptian and he was enslaved by a cruel Pharaoh who would use Zuka to destroy his enemies or transfers their life-force -and on occasion, his children's- to keep him young and ruling forever. When someone killed the pharaoh, Zuka was forced into entombment to be the pharaoh’s guardian in his afterlife. Then around 1910 when archaeologists from England excavate the pyramid, found Zuka’s sarcophagus, and exhumed it, they decided to display his mummified corpse and sarcophagus in the British museum. Korbin, a young man working at the museum was entrusted to prepare his corpse, he accidentally cut himself, and his blood fell into Zuka’s mouth, reviving him. –when Zuka dies, he can come back to life drinking someone’s blood. – Afterwards, Korbin helps Zuka adjust to the current year and new country. When some people who have heard or read the stories of Zuka tried to capture him and force him in servitude, Korbin tries to stop them and one of the men shoots him dead, enraging Zuka and he kills them with his wings. After all that, Zuka began wandering the earth over the years until he ended up in the U.S. where he met Clive and entered a guardianship with him to protect him from the supernatural creatures who want to hurt him.
Clive
Clive is half-Japanese and half Italian, his parents are always traveling on business trips for weeks and sometimes months at a time leaving Clive home alone. When Clive turned sixteen, he meets Zuka in the park and invites him over his house for the night. Clive soon learns that he’s able to see the supernatural when he runs into three demons parading as humans and try to kill him. Zuka saves him and becomes his guardian. At first Clive was scared of Zuka for being what he is until he realized that he missed having someone care for him when Zuka went to the trouble to make lunch for him even when he can’t eat food. Soon Clive meets other supernatural creatures and immortals moves next door or in his house and he have to keep it all a secret or else he would be view crazy and possibly sent to an institute. Zuka will drink his blood on occasion.
Dragos
Dragos is a Romanian strigoi and he had the worst luck. Not only was he born with red hair and green eyes, but also born as the seventh son of a seventh son where he has older brothers and they were cruel enough to feed him a sheep that was killed by a wolf. Three of the few ways for a person to become a strigoi. He can turn invisible and turn into a dog, he loves gothic and punk coats. He dislikes Levente who dislikes him back and he doesn’t like how Zuka messes with him especially for his sexual energy. Dragos doesn’t take showers often or getting wet because it’ll start raining when he gets wet.
Levente
Levente is a Hungarian alchemist. He was born around the 1600s and he discovered the elixir of life, making him immortal. After his fiancée’s mother killed her when he refused to give her the elixir, he killed her and never told anyone how to make it to any other alchemists. After a few hundred years, he created Vida using a mixture of his blood and a cat’s blood, some herbs, sulfur and the philosopher’s stone. Levente prefers making potions, he can create magic ink, which he uses for tattoos and seals, and he can turn things into silver and gold. Levente and Vida will hunt the supernatural hunting the humans, which is how they met Zuka, Clive, and Dragos. He dislikes Dragos
Vida
Vida is Levente’s homunculus. He's loyal to Levente and usually has to remind him when to stop working and when it's time to eat and sleep. Vida is used for spying and fighting. He can turn into a cat since cat’s blood was used to create him. He doesn’t need to eat or sleep but he’ll eat and sleep to simulate being human, for the most part, he doesn’t show many emotions but he does try to, mostly when he’s around Vangelis. He doesn’t feel pain and being a cat, he’s quite flexible. Vida has both male and female reproductive parts and is infertile and it embarrasses him on occasion. Vida attends the same school as Clive, Vangelis, Shina, and the twins.
Oriana
Oriana is a fairy, when she was younger an alchemist who wanted to use her for his alchemy captured her and treated her horribly. Vida found out about her and rescued her. Not wanting to be alone -most fairies disappeared from the world by this time.- she decided to stay with Vida as his adopted daughter. She was fearful of Levente at first, being an alchemist but she warmed up to him when she learned that he's a good alchemist. She can change her size and she loves designing her own clothes, she also likes granting people wishes.
Vangelis
Vangelis is a reaper and one of the many children of Death. Death became tired of having to be everywhere at the same time to collect souls that he decided to have children to collect the souls in different parts of the countries. Vangelis and his siblings know about each other and they have to inform the other that they are going to their territory for a visit and not trying to steal a soul from them. When Vangelis gain his powers, Death made him sterile. He does this to all his children to keep so that they wouldn’t have children with death powers running around. If Vangelis wants children, he’ll have to collect a quota of souls and give Death enough time to have another child to replace him so he can turn Vangelis mortal. Vangelis didn’t want to have a relationship with a human knowing that he can’t have children but one day he’ll have to collect their soul when they die, he’s happy to try to be in a relationship with Vida. He attends the same school as Clive, Vida, Shina, and the twins.
Kohaku
Kohaku loves playing pranks but his pranks are never bad enough to cause harm. He also follows an ethic code of good. If a human helps him then he will pay them back in any way he can; protection, prosperity, being the human’s lover, matchmaking, etc. Usually when this happens, he adds conditions that the human have to agree to, if they don’t like the condition then he’s willing to alter it to their liking, but only so much. And if the human does agree but breaks their promise… then he will curse the person. He also loves eating, his favorite tofu base dishes but he has a weak spot for dangos (the ones with the sweet red bean paste) and if some takes them away from them. Rather then attacking the person, he’d whine, beg, and even go as far as agreeing to whatever demand the human want on him to get it back. He adopted Shina as his little sister when she lost her parents. He can affect people’s wealth and bring them good luck. Like Shina, he’s afraid of dogs since they can tell what they really are and he will revert to his fox form.
Shina
Shina was young when she lost her parents; it’s rare for kitsunes to be born with white fur since their fur turns white or golden when they reach 1,000. Because she has white fur, it means she’s in favor of the Goddess, Inari and can borrow her powers. Like Kohaku, she can affect people’s wealth and bring them good luck, she doesn’t like cursing people much, she can use fire, and she has plant powers. Shina attends the same school asa Clive, Vida, Vangelis, and the twins. And like Kohaku, she’s afraid of dogs.
Eren and Erek
Unlike other twins that get along with each other, the Yates twins can’t stand each other. They will disagree with each other or get into arguments and get into fights. Despite this, they wear the same clothes and they have the same hairstyle or if they have different hairstyles, they will change it the next day. They’re both observant to their surroundings and are both artists but Eren draws comics where Erek designs tattoos. They noticed how strange Clive and Vangelis had been acting lately and how strange Vida and Shina were, especially the strange people Clive had been hanging out with and eventually learned about who they are. The eventually begged Levente to teach them alchemy and he reluctantly agreed. They love learning about the magic ink and planned to use them in their artwork and tattoos.
