Back in the '80s I was selling illustrations and cartoons to FANTASY BOOK, and of the stories I illustrated, this was my favorite. At the time I was influenced by the work of Milt Gross, who drew in a loose funny style, and I thought this was the best pure cartooning I'd ever done, hopefully as good as any drawing Gross ever did.
