As they flew back to California a million questions was going through Topaz’s mind. But every time the vixen tried to ask Nicholas about them, he would always tell her to wait until they got back. It was the same for Mendoza. And also when the other vixens tried to ask them questions similar to what Topaz had.

Finally at last, the group got back. But instead of heading to the vixen’s place, it was off to the one Nicholas lived at. This got them confused. “Now let’s go in,” said Nicholas. He lead the way inside and left them in the living room. When Nicholas came back, he was in the outfit he had been in while in Maine.

“Okay, can you now tell us what is going on?” asked Sapphire. “And why are you back in that outfit?”

“Because I have to,” answered the vulpine. “Now follow me.” He lead the vixens and Mendoza over to a section of the wall at the living room. The male pressed a section and a keypad appeared. After entering a sequence of numbers, the wall moved to reveal an elevator. Everyone got in showing there was enough room. It didn’t take long for the elevator to hit the bottom. The doors opened and Nicholas let the rest out.

What the vixens saw was a big room for them along with a number of other could seat in comfortably. The four corners had some kind of purple neon light pillars. A T.V. screen was at the front along with a table for ten others and extra chairs. The walls, celling, and floor were white and echoed as this group of foxes walked.

“Okay, now can you tell us what this is about?” asked Sapphire. Nicholas walked a bit forward towards the table and then stopped. The vulpine turned to face the group.

“Yes, I now can. I am part of a group of spies that existed a few years before you girls came together. And besides myself, the other members are ones you know.” This caused the vixen’s eyebrows to go up in surprise. Mendoza just looked on with a smile. “Allow me to introduce them,” stated Nicholas.

Suddenly a door on the side opened up and out came Bill. This time he was in a purple suit like Nicholas’s. The husky had a wrench on his belt and a .45 ACP Colt pistol attached to his right side. Underneath the suit was a grey colored shirt. The same patch Nicholas had was also on the left arm. Finally the husky had grey colored boots on. “First is Bill. Our mechanic expert, and driver for things like trains and planes. Code name Tech.” The said male went in front of the table.

Next up came Kane. The white wolf was in an outfit similar to Sapphire’s spy outfit with white being the main color and had blue colored stripes. Even his boots were colored blue. The patch was on right near his left shoulder. Across his back were two M-60 machine guns. These were designed a bit differently than regular ones but Ruby could tell what they were. “Next is Kane,” stated Nicholas. “Our heavy weapons expert. Code name Heavy.”

The white wolf took his place next to Bill. The next guy to step out was Desmond. His patch was on his belt. The suit was colored aqua green. Across the middle one each side were gun holders also holding .45 ACP Colt pistols in each one. Even the boots were the same color. “Desmond is next,” explained Nicholas. “He’s our technology, hacker, and communications expert. Code name Hack.”

The manned wolf took his place a bit farther away from the other two but still in front of the table. Up next came James. The German Shepard’s suit consisted of two colors. The right side was green, but the other was black. The pants were like the right side of the top in terms of colors, while the boots were green. Across his back was the same type of gun as Bill. In addition he had strange grey colored containers of something on his belt, and attached to the two straps n his body. His patch was near his right shoulder. “James is our next guy,” said Nicholas. “He’s our demolition, geology, and mining expert. Code name Crunch.”

The said male took his place next to Desmond. Finally out came Paul. His spy suit had orange sleeves with grey colored bands near the writs. Orange colored gloves covered his paws. The main part of the suit was black and his path was near his right waist. Across his body was rope colored silver. His belt had strange grey colored capsules on it. Attached to the legs were gun holds that held pistols like what Nicholas had. Finally his boots were colored grey. “Last up there is Paul,” stated Nicholas. “Our ropes expert. Code name Flex.”

The Corsac fox took his place next to James. Nicholas went next to Desmond. “And I’m the youngest member of the team and the leader. As well as being the motion and infiltrating expert. Code name Dash. And we’re… the Alpha Canines. Our name comes from the fact were are from that family.”

None of the vixens spoke for a few moments as they all let this sink in. Jade broke the ice. “Wait, you mean all this time…?”

“It’s true love,” stated Paul with a wink. “We’re all spies like you vixens.”

“Yes,” agreed Nicholas. “We existed a few years before you girls got kidnapped. Actually there are four more members. And this time you can meet them since you couldn’t last time.”

“Really?” asked Ruby. “Who are they?”

“You know one of them quite well my darlin’ Ruby,” went another male voice from behind the vixens. “I’ve missed ye.”

She whirled around to find a vulpine who was taller than her but also had orange colored sure, hair that match the fur color, brown colored forearms, and his ear tips were the same color. His blue eyes danced with a smile. On top of his head was a blue colored cape with the patch on it. On his back was another gun like what Kane and James had. His spy suit was sleeveless and colored blue. His jeans matched with the shirt and went well with the brown boots he wore.

“Wait Stanley?” asked Ruby. “Is that ye?”

“That’s your fiancée?” asked Topaz. She along with the rest of the vixens had heard about him from their member.

“It is, and in the fur,” stated the vulpine. The next thing everyone knew, Ruby had thrown herself into his arms. The male let out a chuckle.

“M’ sorry I didn’t tell ye love,” he whispered into her ear. “Forgive me.”

“Silly, I already have,” she responded. “Oh I’m so happy for this.” The two shared a quick kiss.

“We can catch up latter,” stated Stanley and took his place next to Nicholas on the other vulpine’s right.

“He is our driver for cars and trucks,” explained the one with glasses. “Code name Haul. But the final three are going to be an even bigger shock. For you Onyx.” This caught her attention.

“What do ye mean laddie?” she asked.

“I know what happened to you and your family.” This caused the room to go silent.

“How do ye…?” began Onyx with a growl.

“I know,” responded Nicholas. “Only Aqua over there knows part of it. You may as well say it or I will.”

“Know what?” asked Topaz, looking back and forth between the two. “Like what’s going on here?”

“It’s about her husband and kits and why she’s not with them,” explained the vulpine.

“That’s enough from ye,” Onyx said in a cold voice.

“And what about it?” asked Nicholas, meeting her glare with his own. “It’s just like with Jade; how much longer will you keep your past to yourself? They need to hear this or else things won’t make sense.”

“Nicholas, that’s enough,” went Sapphire. But the vulpine ignored her.

“She lost her husband and kits two years by a fire before you girls joined up. It’s painful for her to bring it up. However Onyx, you should know this; that fire wasn’t an accident.” This caused the vixen’s attention to go to him.

“What?” asked the silver fox.

“That fire was caused on purpose by V.I.L.E. They knew what F.U.T.U.R.E had in mind for you girls. They wanted to make sure they caught you. You escaped but your family got caught in it.” Silence followed this revelation.

“I’m going to kill them…” Onyx growled after a minute of taking it in.

“You might want to diminish your anger a bit,” said Nicholas. “You will get a shot at them, but your family isn’t dead; they’re very much alive.” More silence and shock followed this.

“It… that can’t be…” whispered Onyx.

“No, it’s true mum,” went a small, mall Scottish voice.

“We’ve missed you mummy,” went a female one. The silver fox slowly turned around along with the other vixens. Standing behind them were the small foxes Nicholas had talked to before he had gone to Maine. This time the little vulpine was wearing a red colored shirt with his path on his left side. His pants were colored black and his shoes matched. The little vixens was wearing a pink shirt, shoes that matched, and yellow pants. Her patch was on her left arm.

“Alexander? Victoria?” asked Onyx, on the verge of crying and not wanting to believe it.

“It is them and in the fur. Alive and well,” stated Nicholas. The next thing the mother vixen and her children had run forward and met in a hug. Onyx had tears of happiness and joy going down her face as she kissed her kits over and over again. They were crying as well.

“Oh my little ones…” the mother fox cried. “I’ve missed ye… so much…” The three stayed that way for the longest time before pulling back. The others had waited patiently.

“But… what about ye daddy?” asked Onyx. “Is he…?”

“He is me love,” went an older Scottish male voice. “And I’ve missed ye. More than ye could know.” The silver fox’s head whipped up to see the same male who had told Nicholas that the boss was contacting them. This time he was wearing a suit that had no sleeves that was colored silver and had black stripes around the arms and sides of the pants. His boots were colored black and the patch was near his right arm pit.

“Granite?” asked Onyx. She couldn’t believe this either and let go of her kids. The said vulpine walked over to her.

“Ye still look beautiful since the day I married ye.” The next thing everyone knew, Onyx had thrown herself into Granite who caught her. The vixen was crying even harder this time. The vulpine also had some tears coming down his cheeks.

“Thank god…” whispered Onyx. “All of ye… are alive…”

“Shh…. It’s alright,” he said softly. Her lips then found his. It caught Granite off guard for only a second, but he answered her back. The rest of the group began to get a bit impatient. But the kiss lasted only a bit. Onyx then laid her head on his chest.

“We’ll have plenty of time latter to catch up love,” sated Granite. He then came out of her arms and Alexander along with Victoria went over to where the rest of the Alpha Canines were. The older vulpine was handed a M21 Sniper Rifle.

“Yes, they are the last of us,” said Nicholas. “Granite is our sniper and medic. Code name Snipe. Alexander and Victoria act as our moral support. Code names Lad and Lass. And together, we are the Alpha Canines.”

Silence followed this. Nicholas looked to all of the vixens, but especially Topaz. The blond vixen looked unsure of this which worried him. But she then broke into a smile. “This is so cool!” Topaz stated. “Spiffy! I like this!” Nicholas breathed a sigh of relief.

“Well I never would have thought something like this was possible,” commented Sapphire. “But why has Mendoza been invited to join this?”

“Because I’m a part of this,” he explained and went over to the Alpha Canines.

“He’s not the only one,” went another familiar voice. Slappy along with Walter and Integra came out and came by the Alpha Canine’s side.

“Slappy provides our weapons,” stated Nicholas. “Walter and Integra act as moral support.

“Wait, what?” asked Emerald. “You can’t mean that…”

“Oh but I do,” responded the vulpine and hit a button. The T.V. screen came on and the same vixen that had talked to Nicholas before came on. But the Jewel Vixens recognized her.

“Hello Vixens,” she said.

“Diamond?” asked Sapphire. “You mean that…?”

“Yes, the Alpha Canines like you also work for F.U.T.U.R.E.”

“Shall I clear things up?” asked Nicholas. Diamond nodded. “It all started with me. Two years ago before you girls came together I had just graduated High School. However I noticed something wasn’t right and took a look. What it was that the principle was actually a criminal informer for V.I.LE. The other organization you’ve been fighting against was just coming to power. However a F.U.T.U.R.E. agent was also on the case. Impressed with how far I had made it, this agent allowed me to tag along. In the end we got the principal arrested. The agent then brought me to Diamond. Learning that I could help save the world, I took up her offer. I began to train and also gather members. James came next, followed by Bill, Stanley, Kane, Desmond, Paul, and finally Granite and his family which we saved from that fire. We then spent the next two years going on missions. Well all of us but Granite and the kids since he was mainly going through physical rehab. That’s why it’s taken so long for you to see them Onyx. I hope you can forgive me for that.”

“It’s fine laddie,” she responded. “Now that I have them back.”

“It wasn’t until after your first mission to New York that I ran into Topaz,” concluded Nicholas. “From there, you know the rest. Except that we have been informed of your missions from Diamond.”

Nobody said anything else for a bit. The blond vixen then spoke up.

“But then like why are there two spy groups?”

“Because now S.P.E.C.T.R.U.M.E. and V.I.L.E. are working together. If we plan to stop both of them, we need to work together. It’s the only way.”

“That’s why I chose you girls to help them,” explained Diamond. “Especially since two of you knew two of the Alpha Canines.”

“So what do you say?” asked Nicholas to Sapphire. “Will you help us and work together? Especially since now you girls will not only be more safe with us, Ruby and Onyx aren’t going to want to leave their love ones now.”

“You don’t have to ask,” stated the Arctic fox. “We’ll do it.” Jade and Emerald were less thrilled about the idea, but let it slide.

“Very good,” said Diamond. “I will have all of you rest for a few days. But soon your first mission together will come in. When that time comes, you will report here. Eventually the plan is to move the mansion you girls live at and combined it with the one the boys are living at. It can be done. Until then get some rest.” The screen went black.

It was decided that until then Ruby and Onyx would stay with the Alpha canines. The rest of the Jewel Vixens would head home. But not before talking with them. Latter that night the the six who didn’t need to stay left. But Ruby and Onyx stayed behind. The whole time the remains two vixens held onto their loved ones and talked. When Stanley and his fiancé went to bed, the two made love a couple of time. Ruby wouldn’t get pregnant by this.

It was different for Onyx who talked to Alexander and Victoria trying to catch up with them. But that night she went to bed with Granite for the first time in a few years. And they made love many times as their way of catching up after being separated for so long until the two passed out. Both of them contained to do so the next morning. Luckily the walls were thick so nobody could hear the activity going on between them along with Ruby and Stanley. And also Onyx wouldn’t get pregnant by this as well.

The rest of the vixens kept seeing the Alpha Canines along with Ruby and Onyx over the next few days. But then the time would come where their first mission would happen.
