Just a pic of my new duty rig. It'll start seeing service on river patrol starting on Saturday. N frame, made out of alloy and carrying eight .357 mag rounds.

On duty a revolver is as handy as any other similar weighted pistols. As far as this particular revolver goes, it's been through the performance shop at Smith & Wesson and its action is extremely crisp and it's also a tack driver in the accuracy department.
If I'm responding to a high risk call, I grab a carbine or a shotgun. A duty pistol or revolver for me is nothing more then a compromise between size, weight and all day portability.

Yes Sir, they're billet aluminum and so far I haven't had any issues. I tried another brand call Max Fire and found them to be total junk, they're a molded polymer and wouldn't reliably hold the rounds. If Safariland would make a comp II speed loader, I'd be a happy pup.
The revolver also comes standard with a Picatiny rail under the barrel plus a second rail that can be attached to the top strap and the cylinder is machined to accept moon clips.
