It was sort of a random occurance; I was working at Jones Beach then and there was a fella riding one on the boardwalk. I had to stop him briefly just to say "... well we don't allow scooters but... I... just don't know what to count that as." So he laughed, we chatted for a minute, I asked how the segway worked, and he said "Here, give it a shot!"
WICKED little ride, but damned if you don't feel like you're going to fall right over the first few times you try to ride it :P
