Hihi WTF_FA guys! I was hoping you'd notice ^-^ Give me crits plz?
Well I finally made a normal pic of Sombra (once again, the Shadow that hangs with Alterdeus). Yes he is normally that fat, that's his "default" size.
I think I did okay, I dunno about the arm and feet marks, they might be a little overkill.
I know I really like the forehead one though, that was just me messing around with the liquid tool and it came out like that, so I'm keeping that.
He's my cute little fat ball of pudge <3
This is basically how I imagine he would look, as on Gaia the actual Shadow Spirit is just a ball with a head and small limbs.
Maybe another time I'll make another pic of him taller and all. He is a shapeshifter after all.

WTF_FA member here. I'll take the bait, because so few people actually want critique in the first place.
This comment assumes that you are interested in improving your art. Maybe not quite to a professional level, but definitely to show some skill and wow your friends.
This piece is very simple. A figure standing, facing front, with no background. In an artistic sense, it is a very boring piece. There is nothing to catch my eye.
Questionable content aside... here's some advice for you.
You can always improve. Always.
The first way you can improve is to spend some time studying real life and breaking things down into basic shapes. Since you seem to have an interest in fat, you should learn how the body "distributes the wealth"... but the very first thing you need to do is study the "normal" body and its proportions, so you can simplify it to your needs and change it as needed (bulk, muscle). That's right; even a cartoonist needs to spend some time on realism. You can never exceed your reference material, and if you are using someone else's simplification, you may never be able to develop a style individual to you.
Please note that it is totally ok to add aspects of other styles to your art! They will eventually become your own.
A background is also a very important thing in art. If you're feeling particularly ambitious, you should take some time and learn perspective, foreshortening, lighting, composition and all that good classic stuff. The principles of art have stuck around for all these centuries for a reason!
Yes, it is a lot of work. But it will give you a much more varied approach to art... and even though you might be only interested in drawing one kind of thing, if you do get a different idea later on it will be much, much easier to do it yourself. This way, you aren't forced to be a "one trick pony" (see: Sonic fanartists)
If you ever want some detailed critique or have any questions about where to go, hit me up.

First off, thanks for actually giving some crit, none of my so called friends ever do, even though I ask. >->
I wanna address some things and all:
About the body shape, this pic http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1571544/ has him as made by someone else. He's a little round ball and this was the best way I could think of to make him as I made this in a hurry just to have a Ref of him for a website I go to.
I did this pic http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1571590/ to actually try something new, I took more time on it and all and I think it's much better than this one.
For the background, I should do some I agree, I just get too lazy XD
I'll take the rest into account on my next pic, I know I'm SLOWLY improving if you compare my first pic http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1170430/ to now (yeah not THAT much better, but still an improvement)
Thank you =3

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1571590/ is DAMN GOOD. I can see you spent a lot of time and effort on it. Though I do wonder about the tiny Link. I didn't notice him until I'd been looking at it for a while... and... Link is a scrawny little bastard. A circle-body isn't really the right thing for him.
I am sure you know this already, but it's still good to point it out.
This submission lacks the subtle stylistic finesse that "a new challenge" contains. It reminds me of South Park (heavy style rip?). What I mean to say is that even a big ball of fat has underlying anatomy, and only including manboobs isn't a suitable shortcut. I'm a pretty hefty person myself (and losing weight), but studying myself I can see that fat develops most towards the front of the torso, and once the body starts running out of places on the front to distribute evenly... then you get the fat rolls on the back and sides. But a fat person is never a blimp! There is still a very noticeable curve of the spine. A fat person does not "blimp".
So to stylize, you would take the basic form of what you want to draw... and then emphasize. From the front, there would be a slightly skinny upper chest, but when the belly is drawn, that is when you need to start ballooning.
As digsusting as most of the unrealistic fatfurs on this site are... they do have the right idea, largely because they have probably studied real fat extensively. Take a page from them (but please, for the sake of a lot of peoples' sanity, don't follow their lead for ideas!)

Yeah once again I got lazy on the pic and since I was making him so small I decided just to throw a bunch of things down there XD
When I was making this, I wasn't quite sure how to do fat anywhere else, as Sombra is just basically a belly with feet and arms and a head, so when I did this I imagined if he got fat he'd just turn into a ball basically, I can't think of really where else to make fat besides his arms and feet (he's only like a foot or two tall)
Maybe I'll go back to it when I feel better and give it another try =3
