as long as they're not africanized I read somewhere honey bees ( farm) have some disturbing and mysterious die offs of hives...
they seem fine here. You're right, I was just sitting there quietly in the sun, and they were all over. the sound of the buzzing of them all going flower to flower was quite pleasant and peaceful.

CCD, Colony Collapse Disorder, scary stuff, may be caused by a variety of stress on a hive. Mites, parasites and possibly the widespread and continuous use of neonicotinoid pesticides, there also may be a connection with warmer winters too. If we lose the bees we lose agriculture.
