Oh man, I am so happy to see this girl under steam again! Like you, the last time I've seen her (1973) she was in that apple green/silver passenger colors. Pretty enough, but well, locomotives should be black. She has a right pretty whistle too, as I recall.

I agree with you about N&W 611. It may represent that advanced element of the modern steam loco that would have extended american steam power usefulness up until the mid '70's. But- I can argue that a WW2-rich General Motors Corporation and the labor unions exerted a market influence to shove the steam locomotive aside -and that is a long argued issue. 'Nuff said there.
