So this is my new fursuit. Amusingly enough, the things that you can't see in the photo (hands and feet) were completed about a week after this pic was taken. I'll have her with me at MFF, so hopefully I'll have some better photos after that. The fursuit building bug seems to have bitten me, though... Since I've sketched up a concept for yet another suit just tonight. XDDD That one will take me substantially longer to build, though. Candy was a fun build. I've got photos of most of the construction of the head if anybody's interested in seeing how it was put together. Photo by

This head was built from pipe cleaners, scrap fabric, and seat cushion foam I found in the sewing section at walmart. I glue gunned everything together. The fur came from a throw blanket (also walmart). The nose and teeth are sculpey (available at most hobby/craft stores), and the eyes are thin white plastic (hobby supply), blue paper, and the lenses from a pair of sunglasses. See? Not so hard. =D You can probably get everything you need between a craft store and a department store, possibly a fabric store for fur.
Time, yes. Money? Not as much as you might think. I doubt I spent more than $50 on materials for Candy. Skill? *shrugs* I used a tutorial I found online for my first build. This one I did purely by experimenting. It's not as hard as you might think. I have a fairly ambitious one planned next. Will see if I can actually pull it off. That one will involve a full body suit build with appropriate padding and such.
