here’s Jace and Juniper !! i started this the day before yesterday i think??? and ive come up with a little background history.

There was a time when these two lived in a village together, and they were kinda like what we call prostitutes, but the system there was much different since gender and sex are much more different and complex, they dont have the destructive terms of ‘male’ and female’ like we do, and they can have multiple genitalia, or none, and some select few individuals can actually change the genitalia they have on command (or based on how they feel). the select few who can change their genitalia are found throughout the towns and villages and are presented with the..opportunity (they like to make it look like they even have a choice tbh which is rlly shitty) to become sex-workers, and their main job is to help families who are having a hard time conceiving and either have their child or impregnate the one willing to bear the child. Now they’re method of giving birth is much different, they pretty much lay eggs, one child per egg normally, and they egg stays inside the ‘womb’ for about a week, then it’s put in a little special heating box for another couple of weeks before the child pops out.

When Jace was approached, he was assigned to be the one who would bear child for the couple, and Juniper was assigned to be the one to impregnate the couple (which made both of them uncomfortable and they hated the roles they were given, but what choice did they have?)

The roles they played in the village were actually very degrading, and most couples only used it as a last resort, for two reasons, reason one being that any child coming from one of the prostitutes would have a higher chance of becoming one once they’ve grown, reason two being, they were mainly used to satisfy those that couldnt get married or hold onto a significant other for whatever reason, therefore the prostitutes were seen as vile and disgusting creatures.

but then they met each other, got caught in their relationship, and were exiled due to having relationships was pretty much against the law and jumped from village to village happily ever after.
