It's finally here.


I'm so excited, the showtime can't get here soon enough. Going to kick the day off with some Dinosaur Egg oatmeal before the trilogy marathon. Probably going to have Pitch Hawk and John Williams on the drive there (in my car that has a Jurassic Park sticker slapped on it), and def wearing the logo shirt and bringing our T-Rex figurines.

We've obsessively read/watched everything that we could find about the movie since November. So while we feel like we know a LOT of what's going to go down in the movie- I honestly don't care about 'knowing too much' or any so such nonsense like that.


KINDA SPOILERISH SO HERE'S A WARNING.

I'm hypothesizing this:

-Maybe in the very beginning we see Claire and Owen, Claire discussing I-Rex and Owen with the raptor pacification scene. (When the inexperienced handler falls into the raptor pen after trying to lasso a pig that one of the raptors gets a hold of) Maybe even the 'That's not a good idea' scene between Claire/Owen and the Masrani/Claire scene.

-Skip forward

-Another 'parents are getting divorced' situation, cart kids off to Jurassic (World) as a distraction to meet their family member who works there.

-Claire (A John Hammondesque parallel) is super busy and uninterested in the kids, gives them a map or tickets or whatever they need to do everything in the park and sends them off.

-The woman we see fussing around the boys is a non-related caretaker/babysitter for their island trip

-Boys see cool stuff, Mosasaurus appearance, everything is fine

-Meanwhile Claire goes out to see Owen, talks to him about checking the I-Rex paddock

-While kids are getting ready for the gyrosphere ride, Owen is in the I-Rex paddock and notices the claw marks in the walls, it's presumable that no one is aware of Indominus' ability to cloak herself at this point. (In the second book, they tell us that Carnotaurus has chameleon-like ability to rapidly blend into it's environment. We know that I-Rex is a genetic hybrid of at least these species: Carnotaurus ('invisibility'), Majungasaurus (known cannibals), Rugops, and Giganatosaurus (larger than T-Rex) )

-''Oh shit IRex is right here'' Owen and the other worker attempt to escape, worker is caught and killed. Masrani is yelling at the gatekeeper to close the gates (essentially closing Owen in) Owen just makes it out and while Indy struggles with the closing frame, slides under a nearby car and cuts a gas line to cover himself/hide his scent

-Indy probably starts her carnage, could kill some people but part of me thinks she'll storm through some paddocks before being out in the open

-Owen makes his way to the control center, grimly watches Indy's progress

-A team is sent after Indy, she demolishes them with an ambush (characteristic of the Carnotaur pair in Jurassic World) This is probably also the scene where she rips out her tracking device

-The boys are on the gyrosphere trip when the herbivores start acting antsy, running past them in a panic because they can sense/smell Indy

-The boys end up in the forest, still in the gyrosphere. They are surrounded by a herd of ankylosaurs. The younger boy starts counting dinosaurs, and counts the almost invisible Indy. Indy starts attacking the sphere, forcing her claw through the glass and violently biting it apart.

-The boys escape as she is still fighting with the sphere

-Meanwhile Indy moves on, hunting down and killing a pack of apatosaurs (leading to the scene where Claire and Owen find them and realize that she is 'killing for sport')

-The dude with Guy Fieri hair is a Nedry type villain in secret. Corrupting things and secretly thwarting attempts to control the situation and get the park back to normal. (He seems to be the one in control of the park's security and defense response. And I just get a bad vibe from that mammajamma)

-This dude probably dies being eaten/attacked by a dinosaur. Maybe a raptor instead of Dilophosaurus this time.

-IRex enters the aviary, and the Dimorphodon/Pteranodons (which are mentioned to be EXTREMELY territorial in the first book) try to attack her. We see though that even in their home, they are too scared of her to defend their territory and instead fly away.

-Masrani is a huge coward and after a string of arrogance and bad decisions, tries to haul ass out of JW in helicopter (I'm thinking maybe even the helicopter that we see crash into the aviary)

-Pteranodons are set loose and start attacking people- the girl who gets snatched is the boy's caretaker and is dropped into the lagoon where Mosasaurus eats her and the pteranodon that dropped her all in one go.

-Indy chases the boys to the waterfall where they jump- and are likely swept to the 'restricted area'- which is where the old park remains sit. (And likely- many wild dinosaurs have been exiled and left to live on their own)

-I'm guessing we'll see Dilophosaurs, Raptors, and some herbivores (Possibly compys?)

-Somewhere along the lines the adults realize the kids are lost in the restricted area- this is likely the scene where Owen is riding out in the jungle with his raptors.

-Indy intimidates the raptors, becoming their new 'alpha' instead of Owen

-Raptors turn on humans, the humans have to hide in the Restricted Area ruins overnight

-Indy hunts them

-Some raptors attack the ambulance-like vehicle that Claire is driving, possibly the converted raptor squad but could be wild raptors

-Either Indy will kill the Raptors because the raptors will still try to protect Owen, or they will obey Owen's command and attack Indy. Either way, I get the awful feeling that we'll be losing almost all of the raptor babies.

-Owen and the kids will end up cornered, hiding in the old visitors building. Where Indy will track them down and try clawing them out.

-Meanwhile, Clair will be running to the T-Rex pen (who is the original Rex from the first movie) This is probably where we'll see her with a flare.
(I saw a red flare in the trailer right before Rex fed in one of the park attractions- I think the red flares are used to signal Rex that it's time to eat.)

-We see Rex following Clair down a hall, presumably in the visitor's center

-Somehow Claire manages to hide/escape just as she leads Rex to Indy

-Indy and Rex fight

-Indy is winning, but if any of the raptors are left I want to believe they'll jump in and team up against Indy

-And just because I can't shake the feeling that Mosasaurus is going to eat Indy, somehow she'll wind up falling in the tank/lagoon and Mosasaurus will finish her off.

-Estimated survivors: T-Rex, Claire, The Boys, Owen, Blue, Mosasaurus
