Eddie's basically the spirit of a child who's spirit, due to a gruesome death, became trapped in his favorite hat, which was also his only possession. despite that however, he's actually quite cheery and playful... and also a bit mischievous. as you may expect, he does enjoy spooking people, however, this also conflicts with his desire to make friends. as if being a ghost didn't make that hard enough. Eddie isn't really violent or mean however, despite spook'n folks. he just likes to get a good laugh, and tends to laugh at just about everything. Eddie does like to be helpful as well, even if his help does end up making things even more complicated from time to time. Eddie also has a tendency to be impulsive from time to time, doing whatever pops into his head, which doesn't always work out for him.

Eddie carries only a very vague recollection of his previous life, so has no resentment about being a ghost. instead, he finds it to be quite enjoyable, being able to float around and pass through objects. the title of Hat Ghost was he gave to himself, but for good reason. the hat he wears serves as his home and he will pull himself into it to either rest or hide. it's also good at taking people by surprise, especially if they decide to wear it while he's in it. Eddie can also shape shift his hat into into various other sorts of hats, granting him the abilities that those hats are typically associated with. for example, he becomes a good chef when he turns it into a chef's toque or a competent swordsman with a Kabuto or a Great Helm. without his influence however, the hat will always remain a green newsboy cap... which contrary to a shapeshifted hat does not make him good at make'n folks "read all about it!". one of his favorite things to do with his hat however is hide in it and wait for someone to find it and decide to wear it. from there, he will periodically whisper "Hat Ghost". if they have yet to catch on after a while he'll shout "Hat Ghost!" then pop out of the hat, typically sending the "victim" running, granting Eddie a good laugh. He can still move the hat while he's in it however by making it flop around. he can also project his face onto the front of it. one issue with the hat however is that he can't move too far away from it. for example, if he were to remove it and it were to blow away in the wind, he would be dragged along with it once it reached a certain distance.

Eddie is capable of a couple other things, besides his hat powers. Despite being a ghost, he can still eat food and has a fondness for toast and chocolate. Eating allot will also cause him to grow larger and he will continue to grow until he stops eating. after a few hours of not eating, he will begin to shrink back down to normal. this does work in conjunction with his other abilities which is to shape shift, though he is only capable of shape shifting into objects that are his size or smaller. when combined with is ability to grow larger by eating, he ends up with a massive array of shape shifting options. he does this more for fun however and will always have his eyes, hat, and bow tie regardless of form.

anyway, that abut sums him up. probably gonna be using this guy for drawing practice in the future :V with an array of different hats!
