Auction + QUESTION
I'm going to try this again.
This time if the same thing happens I'll just shrug and deal with it.
If this auction doesn't go well or if I don't get many answers at all I will not do full ref adoptables anymore.
Auction itself:
SB: $50
Up by $1 or more. No cents.
AB: $200
Auction will end June 10th at 8pm MN time
If there isn't a single bid, he will be put as a set price of $100 for anyone who wants him.
If genitals are wanted it;s +$20 for a view of that. I cannot change the body shape, however.
QUESTION(s):
If you would like to see more full ref adopts like this:
-would you prefer a flat price? (would be higher than the starting bid I have on this guy...)
-what kind of species would you like to see? (other mammals, mixed species, fantasy characters, ect...)
-would you want a genital view already shown?
-would you like a more simple design?
-general thoughts?

Ah, well the reason why I didn't answer your questions is because I never buy adopts, so I don't feel like I'm the right person to answer them. Still, I have made adopts myself and seen others do it, and this is a very lovely design. I see no reason why it wouldn't be successful and it seems like you have one bid on it at least.
I guess it depends on what you're trying to get out of it. If profit is what you're after, then I'd recommend you delve into the popular auctions on FA and try to figure out what it is that makes those adopts so successful. If you just want to have fun designing characters but don't want to see those characters go to waste, I'd set the starting bid relatively low to lower the threshold for people to start bidding. I'm not a fan of flat rates for characters myself but that's down to preference I think.

Deja vu moment. SO MANY STRIPES.
As for your questions..
-Idk, I prefer flat price because sometimes things I really want can get out of my price range really quickly;;; But, for example, what would the flat price be for this fella?
-Dragons. jk. I'm more for mammals and fantasy characters. Unless it's something that's just waaaaay out there(Like an alien-bat-dog-horse hybrid), then I tend to not be too interested.
-I prefer sfw views tbh. Having an option for a genital view.
-So long as the design isn't too complex? Like some folks charge you for art of the character if it has lots of crazy things on it.
-General thoughts? I like the way you did this design. With a front, back and headshot/detail of the face!

Hey, I'm from dA (but I have a different username there since I lost my old account >_< ) and I don't usually comment on fA, but I noticed you mentioned no one is answering your questions.
I don't quite know why that is, so I'll try to answer them for you! I don't buy many adoptables in the first place (the ones I really like are usually very expensive and I just don't have the funds for them), meaning I may not be your target audience for this stuff. Still, I'll try to answer as best as I can!
1) Ehh... On one hand, a flat price would be good for people who can't afford to spend that much on an adoptable (depending on what the flat price would be). Auctions can be reasonably priced too, but it usually depends on how many people are bidding and what the AB price is.
On the other hand, it'd probably come down to who saw the adoptable first... I'm in the UK so I would probably miss the chance to buy an adoptable from you even if I wanted one. There's not much you can do about that, but it means auctions might be better since people have more time to see the adoptable and bid.
So, I'm not really sure. I think an adoptable of this zebra's quality would be out of my price range whether it's an auction or has a flat price. I can't speak for others who have money to spend on it, though.
(I hope I understood what you meant by that question >_< Sorry if I didn't!)
2) Hmmmm... Well, for anthros, I love your bat tutorial and I loved the tent-making bats you sold as adoptables aaaages ago. So I'd love to see more anthro bats from you, assuming that's something you'd want to do!
I also like seeing insect anthros. They can be so gorgeous and I don't see them that often.
Mainly, I love seeing anthros based on less common animals - I'm not a huge fan of zebras, but it makes me happy to see an anthro I don't see as often as foxes/wolves/etc. - so anything like that would catch my interest.
I like your Volatikai species as well, but I'm aware people can make their own anyway. Unless you wanted to make adoptables for uncommon/rare Volatikai (the Old World Volatikai, intersex Volatikai, etc.).
As for non-anthro species, I don't have specific preferences for those. I just fall in love with certain ones when I see them.
3) I'd like that, yes.
4) I think the level of detail on this design is just right!
5) I don't see many zebra anthros on fA (though I don't exactly go looking for them, so maybe that's why), so I like this one! The only reason I'm not bidding is because I'm not a massive fan of zebras and I probably wouldn't do anything with the character if I bought it. Either way, I love how it looks and I hope you manage to get a good price for it!
I hope my answers are somewhat useful, and I hope others (especially potential buyers) answer your questions as well.

Flat rates are nice. It keeps things even.
Honestly I really enjoy original creations, mythological, Fantasy styled. Now yes I do love furries, but I have always loved fabled monsters and such myself.
Depends on the creature. Sometimes showing it works, other times not so much.
Once again depends on the piece, having some with simpler detail is nice, other times more.
General thoughts are that its always a hit or miss to know what people are going to like. Adoptables are really hit or miss. Have you browsed the adoptables to just get a feeling of what is usually more favorable?
