I guess! Here in the front range slugs only get about 3/4". I'm pretty sure if I saw one that big I'd have my .45 pointed at it instantly! WTF over!?

We actually have 'pet' slugs here. A population of honking big slugs we feed on kibble...

Ah yes I get those big ones here in Cincinnati too, or I did. I've had a few lizards and grass snakes move into the crevace under the back porch so I noticed the big slugs vanished and I'm pretty sure where too ;) THe ones i had liked to climb on the side of the house and eat mold growing on the siding. They would leave clean trails behind. My guess is that small amounts of fungus probably grow on screen door screens and so the slug was probably filtering it off there.

I'll buy that. This fellow was hanging from the top of the doorway as well for a bit, so I think he was looking for a lady friend before moving on his way...

[giggles] Things like this, and millipedes make big, tough boys into children -- around 10 or so ;).

I remember my pet millipede, called "Leggs" He (or she) lived for about six years in a glass terrarium. Quite an interesting pet. I guess that's why I wasn't too popular with the boys back then. Oh well; I'm showing them now ;)

You'd be surprised what the average back yard can hold. I was shocked to find wall clinging lizards and several snakes in my relatively small back yard. I also get rabbits, raccoons and I saw a fox near here once.

Not surprised really. I get those as well as wild turkey, coyotes and deer. But they mostly don't make much noise like Mitch's frogs or climb my screen door.

I also get a fair number of bhunnies, possums and the like. I think it's because, in part, I've got the only dogless backyard. Not that I dislike dogs, mind, just prefer kittehs.

Possums. Now that's the one animal I haven't seen around my place, though they are around here. I know cause I see them smooshed on the road every now and then.
