A resident of the South and Southeast Asian hills, the Common Hill Myna, or Hill Mynah, has about either subspecies that can be identified by their variation in their yellow wattles. A wide range of calls, they are exceptional at mimicking sounds, on par with the African Grey Parrot. Because of this ability, they are popular in aviculture, most individuals bred in captivity. Though common, localized population are declining due to the illegal pet trade and logging.
