Well I decided to make a little plug for myself.
I've actually had a Patreon account for almost 3 months now but aside a Journal didn't really say anything else.

To give a short explanation on it, I do NOT plan on withholding any art I do, I want to make it free and available for everyone (Commissions and private art excluded of course). I also don't really have any milestones or reward tiers, it's all purely on a "if you like to" basis.
I also won't constantly toss around plugs, I think this will be my only one and maybe mentions in my picture descriptions and journal footer. I don't want to spam people into it as that can get annoying rather quickly.
I should also mention that I was VERY insecure about doing this in the first place and pretty much just decided to do it as a "no harm trying" run (though knowing the internet you can get backlash for anything including saying good morning). This is pretty much just seeing "if" it would be doable and if there even is interest.
There are a few supporters already and I am very thankful to any of them.
PS: Also tried something different with the sketch here using softer colored outlines and only shading the black portions of it to make it look a little more "detailed" than just a drawing.

Further, some people tend to be under the illusion that people watch them not for the *type* of art they draw, but for how good they are. TBH if an artist like MilesDF made a patreon, it wouldn't be as "gimme gimme" as DanielKay because we all know mdfis fantastic and cound literally draw anything she wants and that's why people follow here. People follow Daniel for more... fetishy reasons.

But yes, I have sworn to keep my art free and public as long as I can do it (not foreseeing any horrible internet policing policies that hopefully won't come to be of course). I actually want people to see it and enjoy, and yes even if it's just jerk off material to some I'm happy if it "worked" as that. If someone said "I jerked off to that picture", well GOOD, then it did something useful for someone.

Personally, the only thing I hate about Patreon is that the logo is on almost every picture I see now. LOL
But seriously, I have nothing against those who have patreons. Art is their living so this is their income. You feel your art has value and granted I agree (and respect that). Plus, you're nice enough NOT to say "Give me cash or ya'll see nothing." And for those that are; well it's a shame I can't see their artwork, but that just it. It's theirs, who am I to tell them what to do.

Hehe thanks and yea I agree. I always wanted my art to be seen and enjoyed (well and getting a bit of "praise" for it, but honestly, every artist wants that ^..^;) so hiding it behind a paywall is the last thin I'd want. Hell I'm even open to people taking my art and working on it or using it as a basis for their own work as long as they made clear what they did and don't just claim credit.
