it would be interesting if technology behind tron existed. Going in would be one thing, coming out in your new body would be another. Technically you could be ageless than.
Though i think the first step in all of that is Realm of Sword Arc Online, just reading the brain waves and communicating with the computer via a piece of technology, no physical deconstruction.
The SAO version might be closer than we think, but the tron version will be a long time after (and hopefully I'm alive than, digitize me, and than i can age back to 35 or something, come back out, young again :D )

well during the atom reassembly would it use your Human form, or the form you just were in? and if you were in the furry form, would it make sure it was "fully functional" before porting you back? or would technology have advanced far enough to allow for "things" to be missing because clothing and fur might make you over heat.
yeah i have seen that movie, it does provide for an interesting look at how the process, albeit a painful one, could take place, not saying it couldn't be made less painful, and easier to go back and forth.
The age we are in is great, we can speculate about possible things, and they might become possible in OUR LIFETIMES. the only thing that limits us is imagination.
