Yes... I think they're very cute, but past that, I think what she's doing is borderline neglect and abuse... Her house doesn't seem nearly equipped enough to handle such an exotic animal (Actually one of her tamanduas got 'cut' and died shortly after), and she feeds them E-Z cheese (among other foods she deems fitting for anteaters). That just sends up red flags to me. :/

Well, the cheese was just a treat for them, which is completely understandable. My rats get cheese and all sorts of different things that isn't good for them, but it's just a treat.

I dunno, looking up on her faq and her site it seems like she's doing quite well for them!

Her FAQ and caresheet is really extensive and specific, but.. I just don't think it's practical to keep such a needy animal as a pet... Though I feel the same way about large parrots, so.. that's just me. The caresheet is HUUUUUGE. I don't think anyone less than a rich person with an anteater obsession should even attempt it. *shrug* Maybe I'd change my mind if I knew her or her setup better.. but anteaters are just so damn weird and exotic.. I find it hard to believe someone could keep it as a pet.
