Luxury Egg for Auction! [Closed]
Hooo boy. This design has been eating at me all day. I knew it was destined for something special, so I put a lot more detail into it that I did any of my other eggs.
Rules:
• Buyer selects desired color version, A (blue) or B (purple).
• Buyer selects all character attributes not relating to the image (gender, species, etc).
• Due to the nature of this custom auction, you may not make edits to the character beyond what you request from me during creation.
• Reselling this design is okay as long as it is not sold for more than it was purchased for.
Bidding:
• Respond to the last bidder, or if you are the first bidder, to the first comment (made by me).
• Payment should be sent within 24 hours of the auction close.
• Please do not hide bids once you have made them. Contact me if necessary.
• Bidding is extended by 10 minutes after the final bid and each bid made thereafter until 10 minutes has passed with no bids. This means if someone bids at 12:00, the auction is extended to 12:10. If someone then bids at 12:02, the auction extends to 12:12, etc. to avoid 'snipe' bids.
• Please read my ToS and FAQ if you have specific concerns before asking me.
The winner of this auction will collaborate with me to create a character design based on the color palette/accessories/themes within the egg above. Any gender, species, or character archetype can be chosen (provided it is either an existing or open species). Basically You tell me what kind of character you want, and I design a character based on the egg's design.
SB is $30.
Autobuy is $200.
Auction ends at 11:59 AM (Midnight) Friday, June 5th Central Standard Time (CST)
SB gets you a front view of the character.
If the auction reaches $50, I'll do front and back.
If the auction reaches $80, I'll do front and back, both nude and clothed.
If the auction reaches $130, I'll create a fully detailed reference sheet: Front/back nude and clothed views, a headshot showing facial detail, genital shots, etc. and any written info you would like, alternate outfits... pretty much anything and everything necessary.
If the auction is AB'd at $200, a fully detailed illustration of the character will be drawn in addition to the character sheet.

To answer your question, no. I had not intended for there to be any ice in this design at all, but had rather based it on more of a moon/sky god/goddess sort of an idea (hence the wing design on the egg, and the light spots toward the bottom). The blue/purple coloration comes from the colors of dawn and midday.
Shiva did have an influence in the design of this egg, but a lot of other high fantasy themes were considered as well (as well as aspects of renaissance art and modern fashion). I'm confident that once the design stage is initiated, the character will not appear to be as close to her as you are currently picking up on.
The see-through chiffon aside, the hair was intended to be a variation on a personal character design I created a few years ago! http://seishukuumou.deviantart.com/.....-Rem-335544645

I can't wait to see the finished product, your art is amazing, I was just curious to the point that I just HAD to ask, otherwise late at night I would be unable to go to sleep with "Why did I not ask that.....what would they of said?...ARG!" xD.

And no problem. I really do take designing things seriously. I'm a Game Design major with a focus on illustration and concept art, and you made a totally valid point about this egg. Right now, it DOES look a lot like Shiva. But that is something I am fully aware of, and will be readily making the design itself much more unique as I create it.
The beautiful thing about these egg adopts is that what comes of them is entirely up to the buyer--for all I know this could end up becoming some space god/goddess of fire; it could be a dragon, it could be a sergal, it could be a moth, the possibilities are endless. My commissioners always throw me for a loop when they ask for such unique things and I love it.
