When I had my first two rats, I used to watch them a lot. They had their distinct personalities, and an image came to mind. I saw Nephthys, the black one, as an eager adventurer, while her mate, Isis, was a nervous follower.
The result? Neph the daring scout, and her companion Isis, the cowardly thief. This kinda fits the pirate theme for the month too!
