Meet the opposition: the secret sect dedicated to resurrecting King Sombra. The key to this is using Cloptrap's horn to pierce the Crystal Heart, releasing the alicorn magic in the horn and the magic of the crystal ponies to restore the fallen King.
Marionette is the mastermind behind it. She was one of Sombra's most loyal subjects and hoped to one day be his queen.
Deego, on the left, is a wendigo deer that Marionette convinced to join her cause with the promise of eating any of the ponies that wouldn't bow to Sombra's return.
The Envoy is a changling sent to assist the cause by Queen Chrysalis, who would love to see Shining Armor and Princess Cadance laid low.
And Captain Cinnabar, the crystal pegasus that was once the head of King Sombra's royal guard and feels the need to redeem himself.
