Wild Lucario was caught pt.2
Lucario watched the massive wolf as he lightly stepped towards the unprotected fruit basket. The massive creature's eyes were closed, and his muscular chest and abs lowered and rose slowly from his calm breathing. For sure, the giant wolf, Lyle, was now sleeping. Those fruits were as good as eaten for Lucario, and the pokémon knew it. He could smell their juicy scents, even with the wolf's aroma pervading in the air around him.. Still he knew he would need to make as little noise as he could while he robbed the basket of the berries inside, just incase the wolf was a light sleeper. When he reached the basket, Lucario wasted no time sticking a paw inside and lifting out the first berry he touched- it was a small, round blue one, fitting into Lucario's palm nicely as he lifted it to his mouth and took a big bite out of it, which was almost half the whole thing.
"Finally, food!" He thought.
Not even savoring the flavor, Lucario chewed it quickly before gulping it down and doing the same with the other half of the berry. Lucario then looked behind him, up to the wolf's face which wore a relaxed, easy smile even in his sleeping state.
The jackal pokémon turned away and reached back into the basket, confident that he was not being heard. The next berry was just like the first, and Lucario quickly gobbled it up along with two more different berries- Totally unaware of the half open, big green eye that was now spying him from above.
The next fruit he lifted from the basket was big- almost half the size of Lucario's head, so the pokémon took his time taking bites out of it, until only part of its core was left- which he discarded.
Lucario stuck his head into the basket to snap up the remaining fruits- four small, squishy berries, ignoring the quiet sound outside of the wooden container as the giant wolf began to move his right arm from behind his head. The pokémon's head emerged from the basket once it was empty, and Lucario let himself smile a little as he rubbed his now full belly with both paws. With his eyes closed in bliss, Lucario didn't even see the shadow on the ground under him growing in size. Then suddenly, his ears twitched, detecting the faint noise of something big moving close by. Lucario's eyes blinked open and he looked up just as the big, sky-obscuring object came within inches of his head. The pokémon yelped and lunged forward, but quickly felt the firm, furry surface make contact with his back, moving surprisingly quick to push the frantic Lucario down and pin him to the grassy surface of the ground, with only his head and limbs left free to struggle. Lucario yelped again and tried pushing his forepaws against the ground, hoping to lift the weight holding him enough to slip from under it, at the same time snapping his head around to look behind himself. And there, he saw two big, green eyes looking down at him, and a tauntingly satisfied smile on the wolf's face.
"Aahhh!"
Captured.
Lucario panicked and instinctively struggled, squirming beneath Lyle's fingertip, desperately pushing against the gigantic, furry digit. For a split-second Lucario felt the weight shift above him and tried to scramble forward, hoping his resistance had paid off. Instead, the wolf's finger moved to cover even more of Lucario's body, now gently pinning him almost completely and leaving only his head and neck free to move. For a second or two longer, Lucario struggled in vain then surrendered, whimpering quietly.
The wolf trapped him completely, with out even trying.
Lyle mumbled a laugh, causing the nervous pokémon to shudder as he felt the little vibrations from Lyle's fingertip. At his size, even Lyle's minor actions were very noticeable to Lucario. He could feel the titan's breathing, and his heart rate too.
"What have we got here?" Lyle said, clearly pleased with his catch.
Just then Lucario heard a much quieter voice from somewhere else, near the huge wolf.
"What? What is it Lyle?"
Lucario swiveled his head up to try and catch a look at the source of the voice- There, gazing down at Lucario from Lyle's midriff, was the reptile from before. The gray dragon.
"Oh wow!" The dragon said. "Is that a Lucario?"
Lyle smiled. "Yeah, and one that just ate all our snacks."
Lucario whimpered as Lyle's massive fingertip began to shift above him. Slowly, it moved down a little and Lucario felt something else touching him- Another digit, which joined the other as it lifted off Lucario's body- for a moment making the pokémon think he was free, until he felt the soft but firm sensation of his tail being grabbed. Whimpering once more Lucario was picked up, lifted slowly off the ground and into the air, towards the wolf's face, which began to look bigger and bigger with each passing second until Lucario came to a halt only a few feet away from the tip of the Lyle's nose.
Each outward breath was like a calm wind to the little pokémon, who, without realizing, began to blush.
"Oh Arceus, he looks even bigger this close!"
Lyle's expression became smug, and his eyebrows angled inward just a little, and he spoke to his captive.
"So, you gobbled up all of our fruits, did you little buddy?"
Lucario shivered. The wolf didn't seem mad about it at all, so why, the pokemon wondered, was Lyle still keeping a hold of him? Was the wolf... toying with Lucario?
That brief thought disappeared from Lucario's head when the wolf licked his lips.
"Oh, no no no not that..." the pokémon whimpered.
"I was looking forward to those fruits, you know. Lucky for me, I managed to nab myself another little... snack."
The wolf wanted to eat him.
Lucario shuddered and whined, gasping as the wolf licked his lips again.
"I hope you taste as good as those berries." Lyle said. "Well, into my belly you go."
The wolf's lips parted as his massive maw began to open up. For several seconds, Lucario watched, stunned, as Lyle's big, damp tongue and bright, pointed teeth were gradually revealed to him. Only when the giant wolf's maw was sufficiently wide enough for Lucario to slide in did the pokémon feel himself being slowly moved towards the warm, watering cavern.
"Lyle... don't..." the gray dragon urged, but the giant wolf either didn't listen or ignored him, as Lucario kept moving, coming within inches of the wolf's lips.
The pokémon held back a whimper and covered his eyes with his paws. Would this be over quickly? Would it be like going to sleep? Lucario's mind raced with speculations, the pokémon desperately trying to think of some way- however unlikely, he may still be able to escape. Just as the pokémon realized it was a false hope, he felt the great wolf exhale. The air around his maw became warm for a brief moment. Then...
Snap.
Lyle closed his maw.
...
Lucario remained motionless, eyes still covered, waiting, for a few slow moments. He wasn't damp. He could feel a mild wind around his body.
The pokémon opened his eyes and lowered his paws.
He hadn't been eaten. Not yet.
Inches in front of Lucario's face was Lyle's mouth, closed once more, and bearing a smile. The pokémon's eyes followed a path up to the tip of the wolf's nose, then the tiny jackal found himself caught in the gaze of the titan's big, green eyes. Somehow, he was powerless to look away.
Lyle chuckled.
"Aw, you didn't really think I was gonna gulp you down, did you?"
Lucario didn't know what to say. But it wasn't as if he could say something, even of he wanted to, he knew the wolf wouldn't understand pokémon dialect.
"As much as I want to, you're just too cute for that. And besides, Master Lyle has somethin' much better planned for you."
The whole "eating" thing. He never meant that? The jackal pokémon whined and shut his eyes. Then he immediately replayed that last sentence in his mind, and his eyes sprung open.
"...Master Lyle?" Lucario asked himself, "Ahh.. Did he really say that?"
Just then, Lucario felt himself descending. Just as he looked below himself, he felt the pressure on his tail release completely. Surprised, Lucario fell limply and landed face-down on Lyle's big, toned, fluffy chest. Before he could even try to push himself up, he felt the familiar sensation of the wolf's fingertip pinning him down, gently, but with enough weight that there was no risk of Lucario wiggling out. The fingertip moved across Lucario, to his right side, and he felt a similar pressure from another angle- his left side. Soon, both the pokémon's arms were held in such a way that he could barely move them. Now held firmly between Lyle's thumb and forefinger, Lucario was lifted upright, and given a gentle squeeze. He whined.
"Wow..." the gray dragon said as he approached the captive pokémon. "I can't believe it, I knew there were Lucarios here in the forest but I never thought we would see one!"
The dragon smiled, and, Lucario thought, seemed a bit nervous to meet him. He wasn't the biggest dragon- he looked shorter and thinner than the others Lucario had seen venturing in the forest. He was also holding some kind of stick with his tail, with a crystal-like orb stuck to one end. The other dragon adventurers Lucario had observed all carried large axes or swords or other heavy, powerful weapons, but this one didn't look like he'd even be able to lift one of those properly.
"Oh, Lucario, hi there... Um, I'm Scale. Don't worry, we're friendly... Even Lyle here." Scale hummed a laugh. "Um, can you talk? I heard some of you guys can speak through tele, um, tele-pathy and..."
Scale ended his question when he saw the befuddlement in Lucario's face.
"I guess not..." he said.
"Well, how about you work your magic on the little dude now so we can take him home?" Lyle said.
Scale looked up to his giant friend. "Um, you want to keep him?"
"Yeah, I've always wanted my own little Lucario." The wolf said, smiling.
"Lyle... But, you have... how many pets already?"
"Seventeen" the wolf answered. "But there's always room for more. Yup, we're keeping him."
Lucario whined. Was he going to be the wolf's... Pet, now?
Scale sighed. "Okay, Lyle." The dragon turned back to the trapped blue jackal and laughed nervously. "Um, sorry, little guy. I have to make you smaller now", he said.
"Smaller?" Lucario twitched. "No, don't!"
The pokémon's plea was indecipherable to Scale, who moved a step closer to Lucario and began channeling the power in his staff. The orb on the end began glowing, and Lucario soon felt some invisible force around his body. He began to struggle, helplessly, against it, but it was no use. He began to feel himself changing- dwindling, becoming smaller. He really was shrinking!
"No, no no no....."
The wolf's grip tightened on him slowly and gently as his size decreased, still keeping his arms pinned in place. Lucario wouldn't be worming his way out of this. The pokémon soon noticed how much size he had lost in those few seconds- the dragon in front of him looked twice as tall now, and was looking bigger by the second. Another few moments, and Lucario was even smaller than he had been as a Riolu. The dragon reached out with both hands, and gently lifted Lucario's shrinking form out from between the massive digits that were holding him, and gently held him in his palms as the shrinking slowed down, and soon stopped, when Lucario's new height was just a few inches tall. The pokémon whined- now Scale looked almost as big as Lyle had before, and... Lyle.
"Ahhh... he's..."
He was monolithic. From Lucario's perspective, Lyle seemed to fill the whole forest. He was incredible... And he was still smiling down at Lucario, watching the tiny pokémon with those green, gigantic eyes.
But Lucario's viewing was cut short as the gray dragon's hands closed gently around him, sealing the shrunken jackal in darkness.
Lucario was kept enclosed for only a couple minutes at most, during which he felt his surroundings move around him. The light returned soon, and the pokémon found himself on the surface of the dragon's open palm, with the same two faces looking down at him. Lyle, and Scale. Only now, they were the same size. Lyle was in fact a few inches taller than the dragon, but Lucario didn't notice from his perspective.
"Hey, little buddy", Lyle said as he reached to pick up the tiny jackal.
Lucario didn't resist as the wolf's hand surrounded him, wrapping his entire body firmly within his fist, leaving just Lucario's head free. The pokémon instinctively squirmed in his grip at first, then surrendered, and Lyle held in a laugh. He brought Lucario about level with his chest, then brought his free hand up and gently stroked Lucario on the head with a fingertip.
"Such a cute little guy, aren't you?" Lyle grinned. "Don't worry, Master Lyle is going to take great care of you."
Lucario whined, and Lyle chuckled. He continued stroking the tiny creature for a few moments, then stopped, and brought Lucario a little higher. Around his neck, Lucario saw, was a silver, chain-like necklace, which he hadn't noticed before.
"I hope you're ready for the ride home", Lyle said, loosening his grip on Lucario's body. "Grab on", he told the jackal, lifting Lucario to within touching distance of the chain.
Lucario hesitated briefly, then reached out and held onto the chain as he was told. The wolf's paw let go of him completely, leaving the pokémon to hang from the necklace like a furry little pendant.
"Good, now don't let go, little guy", Lyle chuckled. "We'll be home before you know it."
Lucario closed his eyes, holding onto the chain as well as he could, and whimpered quietly.
