Sledge is blind and the doll is his eyes. Yes she doesn't need to aim and yes he's strong enough to hold that antitank rifle xD

I've always hated coloring and adding scenery lol. I've always felt like I should be a better artist than I am- probably because I don't apply myself at those things. I just focus on the characters and the backgrounds always look like a fail XD
I love how you can do both

They mean that the end of the gun is hollow, so normally if you see the flash at the edge of the muzzle, you'd also see it on the sides where you can see the gun goes inward. This picture shows it nicely.https://precisionarmament.co.....RAKE-DLC-3.jpg I believe that's what they mean.
it actually has vents in the side that point about 120 degrees backwards, it reduces recoil by venting most of the blast to the side and backward. and the blast from the brake is actually really huge to the point that being beside someone shooting it could get you powder burns. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgJ64pYJRdw as a demonstration
Loudly!
In addition to the muzzle flash/flames as noted by other posters, they also kick up a fair bit of dust and there's a tremendous sonic blast. Trust me.
That said, its a very minor technical error, and the art is no worse for it. The image stands on its own as is very well, and the fact that the shooter is a southpaw adds even more interest and complexity.
Well done!

They actually don't kick that bad. But realistically, firing a 27 pound weapon like that is pretty darn difficult. The combination of the weight and the long barrel to give it a better acceleration profile over the length make it more of a push than a kick. They really are a joy to shoot.
