"The truth of this tribute goes back to the ancient times of monarchs who were often given exotic pets from neighboring kingdoms as a sign of tribute (elephants, peacocks, tigers, etc). Why not something more fantastic in a fantasy world? Although, what would a Queen do with a dragon you might ask. Well, that's a good question. We know for certainly she won't be feeding or cleaning up after it, but perhaps there's some use she can find. Perhaps as a royal pet, or a steed, perhaps a re-gift for the Royal Spanker, I don't know but I doubt the little dragon will mind much. To her, life is just a big game with heavy jewelry and funny people who admire the giant dragon in the room."

It's been a great Fantasy Month. I hope to do it again sometime.
