"Mom, mom!" TJ squealed, "I think they're ripe!"

His mom came out to the garden, and inspected TJ's crop of aubergines. "I think they are," she said, patting him on the head.

"So, you'll make some Eggplant Parmigiana?" TJ asked, wagging his tail.

TJ's mom smiled, "I'll do anything for my little gardener fox."

TJ picked the fruit of his labor, and proudly brought them inside to be sliced and cooked to deliciousness.
