size difference between Derg and Boid

and now time for random babbling about their species which I have dubbed Residoo

at first I wasn’t sure if I wanted these critters to be pets or creatures smart enough to do their own bis but with more thought I think I want them to be similar to crows although the smaller variation is more akin to a dog’s intelligence due to excessive inbreeding that was done in order to domestic them (think dog breeding)

the smaller variety of Residoo are much more docile than the larger breed.
They’re more playful, and less likely to tear their owners apart
Also the smaller breed is less likely to grow excess horns making them more ideal for families with children
Pet Residoo lack an ovipositor though they still lay eggs
due to their much smaller stature they’ve many health risks, their brains out growing their skulls. their excessive weight puts a lot of strain on their legs causing arthritis and which is why the smaller variety tend to walk on all fours, they usually develop heart problems as well blindness (Boid and Derg aren’t blind btw Residoo eyes are located on their tongues)
the smaller breed is not a very healthy breed and usually they only live to be about thirty before croaking feral Residoo typically live to be anywhere between 70 - 140

the large breed like Derg and FT and BB are all extremely aggressive and highly intelligent
not really big on being pets the larger breed is feral and only brought into domesticated setting for breeding
although many don’t breed with the larger breed as it increases the chance of aggression in the next generation some breeders take the risk (like Boid and Derg’s owners do) simply so they can achieve Residoo that are unique in color
most pet Residoo come in pale blues, lavender, and pale pink colors
feral Residoo are vibrant with bright yellows, lime greens, and orange

both the smaller breed and larger breed are able to reproduce asexually although ferals will mate with other ferals and pet Residoo to produce better offspring
they all lay eggs every few months though those who keep these creatures as pets tend to to either spay them or put them on some sort of birth control to help keep their houses from overflowing with tiny fluffy dragon/raptor/bird things
All Residoo mate for life so even those forced into courtship by owners will stay with their mates until death


and that’s all I have for now will probably write up more as I continue to develop the species
please note these species are a closed species and I probably won't ever open them up for others to make their own I just really like them and would prefer to be able to have full control of the species
