Explaining How I do My lines
Both are male for starters
You may be looking at this like "What the fuck is this here?" This is what I do with my Lineart when I do a coloring Job for Commissions and my Own things.
You may find this pointless, but it's also how the line work inside the contour get's colored in my work without hassle at all. For instance, when I do My Frill Creases, I put those lines on a layer UNDER the Lineart layer, so when Selected with the magic wand, these lines are OUT of the way if I'm selecting from JUST a layer and not the Canvas.
This also allows for more Line details, without barricading the "Section" I would be selecting. Now, Not ALL the "Innerlines" are Selected, how I do it is if it's inside a "Separate" Piece. For instance, The Diaper would not be the same color as the Socks, so the Lines would serve as a "Barrier" when selecting with the Magic wand tool. Where as the lines that Give the diaper more details, would be on another layer, so I don't have to expand my Selection area. this also Means I select more In just ONE go instead of having to click constantly, for instance, on the hair.
Because their skin tones will be different, I did not put the "Barrier" between the two on a second layer. This allows for easier and Faster Coloring, Taking less time (For me at least) to Just move all the "Detail" Lines onto it's own layer then just coloring.
When I finish ALL the coloring, shading included, I then Duplicate all the colors under the "Innerlines" Layer to merge and put over it, which I can then darken and saturate the hues to be colored lines. Of course I DO layer clip it over the "innerlines" Layer so it just stays in there, before I'm happy with what I got as a result and merge them.
