I laid down on the plush rug and started to sketch out the design of my next project. It wasn’t necessarily the fact that suits were harder than my normal work, more so the fact that this particular client had a smaller frame to work with and was particular with their tastes. My mind drifted away into the complexities of the request until a light pressure was exerted on my rear. A soft squeak exited my lungs as I shifted to a more comfortable position.
My head turned to see icy blue eyes filled with determination. Looking down a little I saw a brush in the dragon collie’s hand. A smirk graced my muzzle as I thought of just how this would end. Previous experiences had noted this process to take several hours and plenty of hand breaks.
“I hope that brush is for you Mitch. You really don’t want to start something you aren’t going to want to finish.” I turned back to my sketchbook.
“Look, I don’t have that kind of money right now even with your discount. So, I’ll straighten your hair instead so you can dye it back to normal. Sound fair?” the dog glared.
“In other words, you’d rather spend it on something else and give your awesome friend a comparable service instead.” I laughed before they lightly tugged at one of the long thick curly locks. “Okay. Okay. Deal. But you have to straighten all of it.”

“Something wrong?” About an hour later the methodic brushing had stopped and I turned back to look at the frustrated canine.
“This is going to take ages. How do you deal with all these damn curls?” my friend snapped.
“I straighten it rarely and keep it clean. Besides, I believe you’re the one who decided it was a bad idea to let my hair go back to its natural color. Now get back to work.” I teased.
Woohoo quick art and writing to go along with it. Honestly though, story was written at 2am. Forgive me if anything reads weird. Just had amusing idea of Rhys getting his hair straightened by a friend and them regretting it later.
