I got home one day and greeted NomNom with a warm hug and nuzzle that shi happily returned. But our affections were soon interrupted by a low rumble of quick footfalls as our pups undoubtedly knew their father was home. As I looked around for a place to playfully hide from them, I was knocked over by NomNom's belly onto my front, which swiftly came to rest upon my back and pin me down on the floor. I wiggled a tad under that heavy belly that held me firmly in place before looking and seeing the five pups round the corner.

Nom called them over and pointed down at me on the floor, which seemed to spur them on further in their charge, soon covered in a pile of fluff and wagging tails as they piled on me for a moment, happy to have their daddy home. Soon enough things settled down, one pup nestled on my back, another nibbling my ear, another licking my cheek, one snuggled beside NomNom, and one on hir back nestled in with hir.

I don't mind our pups' usual greeting of plowing me over out of excitement, it's all a part of family ties.
