Found throughout the boreal forests of North America, the Gray Jay is a member of the Corvidae family of which crows belong to. “Scatter hoarders”, they scatter gathered food throughout different sites to store and hide from scavengers. However, they have earned the nicknames of “whiskey jack” and “camp robber” due to their theft of human foods.
