One morning, the knight captain wakes up to find that his legs no longer seem to be working. The good Doctor is called, and his prognosis is simple: evolution. The legs are beginning to atrophy in preparation to merge with the tail, a somewhat rare development among those of certain species. The Doctor has seen such transformations before and assures the patient that everything will be perfectly fine in the end, it's just that the process will take quite some time... To the captain's great annoyance.
"You will be fine, my friend. Simply rest, and let evolution take its course!"

Dr. Jr. shows off his very special brand of bedside manner! Despite his nonthreatening demeanor and physique, his mastery of Night Shade is quite something to behold!
Also something to behold: seems like somebody sleeps in the nuuuuuude! Cmon Percival... Man, the soldiers don't wanna see your wang. ... Well most of 'em don't.

Reading the description and the conversations above... I actually do wonder how many people in Perciverse (can't get rid of that name just yet) are gay, lesbian or bi.
Are evolutions always this... slow for all Pokémon? In the sense that they notice signs of the evolution months in advance. (Just that some signs are more severe for certain species.)

Oh, just about as much as in the real world! I can't really say, I'm not entirely sure of an exact figure... But probably 1 in 20 people Percival meets are some variant of homosexual. Something like that!
And it really depends! The more drastic the change, the more time it usually takes... Some people go fast, some go slow, some change only a little, some become unrecognizable! Percival's evolution from snivy to servine took under a month and didn't leave him bed-ridden for more than a few days... But this evolution probably ends up leaving him stuck in bed for 3 months or so! the complete change probably takes 5 months total, perhaps... Not really set on that yet, though
