The Chawaaj: a Species
Chawaaj
A long time ago I came up with an idea for a bird species like this. This is that species finalized.
The chawaaj (literally meaning chi catcher) is an avian with six eyes and a dreamcatcher on its tail.
Each of its eyes sees a sense. Without the eye of that sense, it will not experience that sense. For example: one eye allows sight; another eye allows hearing; another eye allows feeling; another eye allows smelling; another eye allows tasting; another eye allows sense of cha (chi). Now, don't be confused: chawaaj don't hear, feel, smell, or taste with their eyes; the eyes merely allow the experience of these senses. If a chawaaj is blindfolded over one or two of the eyes, he/she will not experience the senses of those corresponding eyes. Likewise, chawaaj can't hear, feel, smell, or taste anything at the back of their head, because they do not have eyes at the back of their head. Think of it like a weird LSD trip. "Woah, man. I see smells/did you see that flower aroma?"
Let us now discuss the tail dreamcatcher. The dreamcatcher catches chi (the energy of living things). Chi, in chawaaji terms, is food. The tail swooshes about in the air where chi is seen most abundant by the chawaaj's sixth sense, collecting strands of chi. (Its texture is like cotton candy's, but lighter.) Once caught in the tail webbing, chi becomes tangible and visible, the same color as the chawaaj's eyes. It is absorbed into the tail then stored in the stomach.
Now that I've gotten the vore lover's attention: the stomach. Stored chi is then digested in the stomach. A chawaaj can eat normal food but may also live entirely off chi. The tangibilized chi makes a belly bulge. This is an example of intangivore (that thing I coined months ago, and no one thought had a purpose, faggots).
Chawaaj are almost never gluttonous. The reason why is, chawaaj are composed of clan communities. In a community, chawaaj prefer to be around other chawaaj who exhibit positive chis. Gluttony often comes hand-in-hand with negative chi. Thus, gluttonous chawaaj are usually ostracized then exiled and decline in chi positivity until they die, or live on as unhappy outlaws. However, Gluttons before their own self-destruction are often powerful and dangerous.
The most powerful clans are often the most happiest; the emotional bond between a community is the difference between negative chi and positive, between weakness and strength.
Many Chawaaj believe in the kind treatment of all living things. Many enjoy folktales. Chawaaj tend to have a favorite sense. Those who prefer sight over others, for example, might enjoy shiny objects: the stimulation of the eyes. One who prefers sense of cha might enjoy a deep conversation: the stimulation of the chi.
If you ever run into a chawaaj, feel free to say "hello". Just remember to say "hello" in front of them so that they can hear (see) it. And don't pull on their dreamcatcher threads. That actually pisses them off, believe it or not.

Thanks! The chawaaj also vary in color. Usually this is based on clan.
Here's me just having fun with other possible colors.

I can do colorful featherhair too. If you think of any fun schemes, I can edit one up.
You will, of course, be seeing more of this guy. =)
