I had a little bit of a story going in my head when i was thinking of this little illustration.
I hope you like it.

Story~

Setting:
It's approaching sunset in the middle of a large field of tall grass and sets at the edge of a forest. The wind is warm and calm and the smell of
water fills the air. It will be raining in two days and yet every thing is calm only the sound of the gentle wind blowing through the tall grass fills the air. The sky is
lit a flame with hues of Orange, Yellow, Purple, and Pink.

Karuso sits alone in the middle of the field looking deep into the sunset as if he was waiting for something. He lets out a deep sigh and closes his eyes. All he can hear is
the sound of the warm wind dancing in the grass. This calms him as he leans his head slightly.
Suddenly he hears someone approaching him through the grass. He slowly opens his eye and turns his head to see Cindera standing there looking at him curiously. Karuso feels relieved
to see a friendly face.

Karuso: Cindera, what are you doing here?
Cindera: I could be asking you the same thing.....are you ok?

Cindera slowly approaches him.

Karuso: I'm fine, just in thought that's all.
Cindera: In thought? About what?
Karuso: Things.....

Cindera sits down next to him and gets really close to him.

Cindera: Things like what......?
Karuso: Never mind, it's nothing.
Cindera: Well it's got to be something. Otherwise you wouldn't look so glum. Uhhhhhhh, I mean more glum than usual.

Karuso glared at her for a moment then sighs and hangs his head. There is a small moment of silents with nothing but the wind being heard.

Karuso: It's just unbelievable. That no more than a year ago i was trying everything in my power to kill your sister and her friends. And even after
everything I did they still let me be around them.
Cindera: None of that was your fault. You were under a spell. You didn't do any of that out for your own free will. Plus Colestone trusts you and asked
you to come with us.
Karuso: What about Flame?
Cindera: Don't mind him. He can't even trust his own shadow. Look you shouldn't be worrying about something in the past. You can't change it.
And you should really be happy that things turned out how they did.
Karuso: How do you work that out?
Cindera: Well if you weren't evil before you may not have ever been as strong as you are now, and you may not have ever met my sister and her friends.
Or even me......
Karuso: I wish everyone saw it like you do. Everywhere I go I can't escape my past. But I'm by no means proud of what I did back then. I have flash images and glimpses of the things I did and they.....
were horrible. I killed so many.......I hurt so many.......and I didn't think twice about doing any of it. And sometimes I wonder if I would still do that.
And the last thing i want it to do is hurt you or the others.
Cindera: I know you wouldn't do that. I've seen good in you. And even if others can't see it, you cant let what they say or think effect you.

Cindera paused a second and smiled a bit.

Cindera: And you have got to start thinking more positively. All this negativity will do nothing but eat away at you.

Karuso looks away from her hangs his head in despair. Another pause comes over them till Karuso turns his head up slightly to see Cindera staring
straight at him with a wondering look on her face. This annoyed him a little.

Karuso: What! Why are you looking at me like that?!
Cindera: I just noticed something.
Karuso: What!
Cindera: I don't think I've ever seen you smile.
Karuso: I've smiled before.
Cindera: Yeah, but I genuinely smile. You need to simile more often. It makes you look good. And it could make you feel better.
Karuso: I doubt that.....

He looks back at the sunset then back a Cindera only to see her face extremely close to his and she is giving him the goofiest grin he had ever seen.

Karuso: Uhhhhhhhh....what are you doing?
Cindera: Come on. Just smile a little bit.
Karuso: Why?
Cindera: Please just smile, just a little one. For me.
Karuso: Knock it off. You look ridicules.
Cindera: Oh come. Just smile once. Or do I have to make you.
Karuso: What?!

Cindera suddenly starts jumping up on his sides and rubbing him. She was trying everything she could think of to try and make him smile. Karuso finally had enough and gently pushed her off of him. Cindera looked at him disappointed.

Karuso: Look I appreciate your efforts but I really just think i need to be alone right now.
Cindera: Oh,.....ok.

Cindera hung her head down. Karuso shook his head and turned away from her and stared to walk away. He stopped and looked back at her.

Karuso: Cindera.....

Cindera look back up at him. And Karuso smiled a little bit. Cindera perked up a little at this sight.

Karuso: Thanks. I'm lucky I've got a friend like you.

Karuso turned back again and started walking away. Cindera smiled and she thought she saw Karuso blush a little before he turned away. This made
Cindera blush a little. She stood back up and walked away in the other direction back to the others.
