this particular track shows my habit of over doing things.
its also the first track i ever made that was my own work.
its 13 MINUTES LONG!
Samples i used : Kick and Snare are from "Feel Good Inc." by the Gorillaz
the open hat sound is from my actual Casio SK-1
the 3 toms are all the same sample tuned to different pitches.
they came from this 80's toy drum machine i got made by KAWASAKI O_o
i used MDApiano for the piano part. certian parts are so complex you would need 64 fingers and 3 arms to play. thats why its sequenced.
the paired synth leads are those minimoog clones i built in synthedit,
the string synth i made too.
i will admit this track is VERY REPETITIVE but gimme a break it was my first original peice i made, sequenced on the 15th of November of last year
i had to rape this track to get it to fit on here, so its encoded at 11025Hz
really what i did was basically a complex arrangement of the same riffs over and over, but it does make for interesting earcandy :D
at about 8:30 something cool happens: it finally changes up LOL
i just noticed the thumbnail i made looks like the menu to
Mortal Kombat III... O_o i didnt intend that, but whatever...
HERE http://www.freewebs.com/casiocat/Co.....20Casiocat.mid
is the original midi for this,
HERE http://www.freewebs.com/casiocat/mymusic.htm
is the High-Quality version of this track. and some other stuff... :D
do what ya want with them, edit them spread them, try them, share them,
so long as my name is on it :D

Piano is MDApiano avalible here - http://www.pluginspot.com/documents/30.html
the minimoog clones, and the synth strings are synthedit creations i have wired together one by one :D i dont deem them worthy of making vst plugins out of yet
(synthedit lets you build synths from the ground up like a modular synth with tons of extra features and it also lets you turn them into Vst's)
i also used FREEVERB2 for reverb
it is avalible from here:
http://www.synthedit.com/
they say it doesnt work with windows 98 (which i still use for various reasons)
but version 1.0160 does (and a few higher then this i think)
the midi sequencer i used is Jazzware and its website has long died, but i managed to find a copy at a different site. here
(scroll down a few paragraphs)
its just a midi sequencer though, nuthin special, but it is free and fully featured,
it is a little glitchy though.
i used no other programs to make this
(other then audacity to normalize and lame to encode)
im a LO-TECH hi-tech kind of guy :D
there was 4 piano tracks
2 monosynth tracks
a synth string track.
and drums,
thats it
everything was free and i used no warez :D

Thanks :D
i had tried to arrange it so that while it is repetitive, that no arrangement would repeat itself.. i dont know if it worked, but i tried, really i was just making patterns :D
although this was my first work, initially i had just made the piano part,
after that i looped the piano and threw up synths on it and this is the result XD

^_^ right after i made it i couldnt get out of my head, so i banished it to a dark corner of my hard drive for a whole year lol.
it took like a week or better to make this, and another or 2 to re-arrange it
so am actually sort of sick of it XD but i am proud of it at the same time since it is so big and epic and all. the only real skill i used though was arranging patterns. i was still a music noob lol.
im glad someone likes it :D
