Rats aren't simple pets. They require ferret sized cages and actually have to go to the vet unlike hamsters. And require a strict diet and are at risk of tumors if you don't get them spayed. They require almost the same amount of of dogs and cats.

Not to mention is Summer now. And while living in the desert, most animals have high metabolism, so their frames thin out and get lean as the weather gets hotter. But you're the expert from watching tv shows. In the winter dogs gain some weight, in the summer from the heat they lose weight. I'll be here all day. My other dog Rai b got stabbed 2 times by a human. Her leg was supposed to be amputated because they sliced her hind tendon. I spent $1400 and did physical therapy to save her leg. She has complete use of her leg and she if buff like a body builder. And the vet wanted to amputate her. I'm so proud of her.
