Introducing: The Rainbow-Otter!
I felt like drawing something colorful as in Technicolor-colorful, and what could be more colorful than a rainbow? I've also been impressed by the otters I recently saw in the Cleveland Zoo, so the combination was obvious: a pride-colored otter. One could even say he's OTTERLY colorful, but I better don't go there XD

Actually, I wanted to do a joyful leap, inspired by Wielder's comment on my previous pic, although it does look indeed like interpretive dance XD And I'm happy you like it Otters are amazing creatures indeed, I can't think of any other mammal that harmonizes with the element of water that much.
I SAW THAT COMMENT AND I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU.
Honestly, I couldn't comment on that tiger pic in a way that wasn't already there on the page, but I'll compliment it here. It had this... tremendous ease to it.
You know dolphins and their ilk are mammals, right? X3
(I love the word "ilk.")

Thanks, my friend It means a lot to me, made me feel like being a "real" artist in a way all of a sudden.
I did consider mammals like dolphins and whales in that assessment. What impresses me in otters specifically is that their physiology is built rather for land than water, and yet they act as if they totally belong there. Big "fish" like dolphins don't really have any other option, and still don't act smoother in that environment than otters in my perception.
