but those don't show in the picture. this and your rat/mouse picture can easily be assumed as just ordinary anthros. I don't think it works well.
like anyone cou8ld draw an anthro dolphin and it would look almost like this, maybe minus the arm phins.

I was too lazy to make the Isegun really different from dolphin anthros, so in the end only their history and abilities are mein.

I was thinking maybe you should give them markings on their bodies or something to make it so they're more distinguishable from just regular anthros. :v

They're mostly for use in generic (and not so generic) SciFi RPs, so it's not like anyone there would really notice or care about those markings.
It's also part of why I kinda kept them so simple, because (unfortunately) not many of the people over there would ever remember things like "They generally have natural markings on their bodies that look like this and that".
Additionally, it's unlikely that you'll ever encounter one without an HEV suit (stolen blatantly from HalfLife, though this man here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2412463/ drew a pic made of infinite awesome with a suit that's not so much like Freeman's suit.), due to them not being very amphibious. They can live for some hours out of water (longer with technological gadgets and stuff), but after that, it's diean time for them.

Looks are generic dolphins, their history, culture, guns, et cetera are inspired by a billion sources (though quite a bit by WH40k)

I like the way they look! All streamlined and sleek! One question, looking at the fins on the arms makes me wonder, do they swim with their arms in-front of them?

Actually, I never thought much about that. Maybe I should've corrected that when Nim was sketching the picture, but eh, can't change that now.

No stealing? That's a joke. I've already seen humanoid delphinids before. This design is far from unique, it's pretty much just a dolphin with human attributes.

Anthro dolphins with the specific history, technologies, abilities, et cetera, that also are named Isegun? Those are mine, in intellectual property at least. And back when I wrote that comment I was somewhat more concerned about it than I'm nowadays, what with it being 4 years ago that this image got done. The Isegun evolved and changed as well, though their basics are still the same, with their homeworld, etc.
There's far, -far- more background to them than this image suggests. Pages and pages of information, worldbuilding that I've done. All of that is my intellectual property.

Anthro dolphins aren't.

Those two are just stand-ins as generic Isegun, though, one of the species I made over the years. And that image may or may not be fully accurate anymore, after 9 years. :V

Very cool! And a beautiful design for a dolphin based species. Been working on a dolphin OC myself and wish there was lineart out there of a similar design to this species, but haven’t found any yet.
