You Mean I Used To Be THAT?!
Soooo, we all had that EMBARRASSING fursona back in the day, right? I mean, back when we first started realizing we liked the talking animals in Disney movies better than we did the snot-nosed brats we went to school with. Back when Charlie Barkin was the epitome of the perfect bad boy that we were all going to bring home to mom and dad. Yeeeeeah, I know I had that fursona.
Her name was Semco, and she was SUPPOSED to be a wolf. But she looked like a nondescript husky with heavily Disney animation style and Lion King eyes. Then Balto came out, and she started looking more Baltoish...and then three other fursonas happened because, well, she was that perfect smartass who always won her fights, and that's fucking boring.
Wielder has been with me for years, and just about the only thing that's changed about her is her style...and that's because I'm an artist, and I constantly evolve. Semco was lame as shit, but she was my first. I guess it was fun to draw her again.

I know that feeling. My first fursona was just a plain ol' fox. Woooo... so original. But he's still very much a part of me. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for him.
And OMFG... THOSE TAGS. I KNOW YOUR PAIN. Gotta buy those VCR head cleaning kits. Make the trip to Blockbuster Video. The infinitely blinking "12:00" clock on the front of the VCR deck.

ive always felt really weird updating my sona. I think im worried it wont be precieved well with my friends and fans(if I had any) and the thought of upsetting anyone bothers me.
However as an artist and a person, growth is needed. Im stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to pleasing myself and/or others. Seeing how you have grown and developed as both an artist AND a sona has given me alittle bit of a push in the direction I need.

Hehe, those were the days, when handling and programming a VHS recorder was more complicated than operating a nuclear powerplant XD It's also interesting seeing the roots of your style. Although I would say that Semco sounds like a rather original name for a sona, when many people at that age would call a creature like that 'Silverfang Freewind', or something cheesy like that.
