And you know what? I know that grin. He isn't even mad. He's playing with his opponent. :D

If some hothead new warrior wants to prove something by challenging him in a tournament or on the street, let them exert themselves with big swings as he just parries and steps aside, lets their blade slide off his, turn and face...and once they've worn themselves out, a neat leg-sweep and call for a yield. And then help them up and pat them on the back, and buy them an ale.

He wouldn't actually hurt them unless they were a seriously evil sort. He's a Good Guy.

To me, it looks like he's toying with them and having fun. Honorable challenge to single combat doesn't preclude playing with your opponent!

He's a cat, after all.

You most certainly did! Sure, he might be all serious and grave fighting in a real battle, but this? This is "Oh, this is fun." It's nice to see that side.
