Djinn: any of a class of spirits, lower than the angels, capable of appearing in human and animal forms and influencing humankind for either good or evil.

The Djinn are said to be creatures with free will, made from 'smokeless fire' by Allah in the same way humans were made of earth.

Whenever i'm introduced to someone who speaks Arabic, they stare at me because of my name, which sounds somewhat similar to Djinn. The year i was born in and the stars i was born under are both symbols of fire... and since it's nearly halloween, i decided a Djinn costume was in order!

this isn't really my usual style, but i'm fairly happy with it. it's taken me the better part of a week, but that's largly the fault of homework, work work, and an irritating need for sleep.
