So this was somewhat inspired by a fun comic I saw from Boo-Radl3y on DeivantART: "Capture her Heart... Or not"
Where Seregios tries unsuccessfully to ask Rathian out on a date x)
I liked the idea that Seregios (the one on the left) actually had a romantic interest in Rathian - even though in this comic the sentiment wasn't mutual hehe... Poor guy - and I was thinking.... Maybe he'd have better luck with Golden Rathian instead? I thought it would be cute if Seregios was sitting there, dejected and disappointed... And G.Rathian approaches him, all kind and sweet n stuff? Giving the pinecone dragon a chance and all that ^^
So while Umbra was doing some speedpaint commissions, I tossed this idea her way and this was the gorgeous result <3

I still haven't played 4U, namely because my 3DS is a Japanese one, but I'm poking around on the eShop trying to access the Demo. I won't be able to understand a thing they say, but meh - is a demo, and it's the gameplay I'm more interested in than the plot (Saving that for MH:Stories hehe, though I'm curious about the gameplay in that as well~)

And yes that is a Tigrex there. Artist stylizes him quite a bit - though I've gotten used to the new look (And it's cute how his 'ears' will raise and lower depending on his mood - which the real Tigrex apparently can't do) I still am quite amazed when I see a side-by-side comparison: http://sta.sh/014fwzy17yt0

Tho... The artist that did the two pics above, had a lot of pics of Tigrex doing cute things. Was a short 'series' of him using crayons to draw portraits of the other monsters and they..... Were pretty terrible xD
Amusingly enough Nargacuga and Deviljho pulled off super-detailed drawings while Tiggy's looked like kintergarden fingerpaints x'D

Those are adorable! I wish I could draw better so I could make my own cute pics of the monsters...
The way I characterize Tigrex though is that he's just too strong/big/etc. for his own good. He's never actually trying to hurt the hunters/monsters, but everyone takes his playfulness as violence! It's just the silly way I see the monsters!

hehe... That actually reminds me of this fanfic comic that has a rathalos and nargacuga as the main protagonists... The rathalos is apparently a runt (And is so given the name 'Beans' because of that x'D) and it turns out he's been rejected by *multiple* rathian due to his small size. "Not interested in such a small male, sorry" xD
