I just realized I used the same eyebrows twice in this set! Boo!
We have a set of 4 different faces for testing the UV placement and shader's new texture maps: (Counter-clockwise starting from the upper right)
Bland disappointment, making kissy lips, a look of some intent, and umm... worn out from intense cardiovascular activity. Yes...
*Ahem* So, I experimented a bit with some of the faces. The lower left's eyelids were shifted around considerably and generally successful, I think. The kissy lips thing was significantly less successful, but at least I got some sort of (very small) puckering to them. It doesn't read well since the upper portion doesn't have the black lip shading. Plus, it's really small, so the body and lighting have to pull extra weight to try to sell the expression. The puckering effect required customized adjustments to the wire deformer's weight paints (like earlier lip-biting looks) which I'm not fond of.
The shoulder's portion of the white chest markings show some of the compression issues in the UV, creating blurred borders and sudden, sharp angles.
I wish I had remembered to dilate the pupils for the lower images.
Constructive criticism is welcome!

Thanks for the diagram and the examples! I see what you mean now. I've tried something like this a couple times, but I've never been satisfied with the results; my attempts always made the mouth look weird to me. The last time I tried it while exploring other face changes. I had cut up the face into part and was independently manipulating them as a sort of rough draft of changes, but this scrap kind of gives you of an idea how the last try went. I need to try again sometime. I think, since I'm working on a female right now, once I get to her face, I try again and then (if I succeed this time) I'll apply the shape changes to the male as well.
Aye the mouth was a problem for me too, looking too big or strange, but i just make them rounded and shorter after i see its gone all wrong, i wish you luck lol, sculpting can be weird sometimes, i usually have like 2-4 versions before the end result, sometimes changing the ears or mouth or nose bridge.
