This is the adult state of the pine processionary, a caterpillar which parasite the pines and feed itself of the sap of their host, those caterpillar are also rather known for their manner of deplacement, they move in single file. The adult lives only 3 days without eat because of the lack of proboscis (the kind of trunk) which prevent them to eat.
