My original thought was that they don't kill him because the ghost children actually like NG. Probably because he is young.
But Bonnie is the one who keeps a VERY close eye on him, and like you said, let's him know what's in store if he tries anything they don't like.
lol xD Springtrap is more huggy cuddly than the others because he's not haunted yet. In very much disrepair already, but not haunted
