I spent three wonderful days in and around Albuquerque, New Mexico last summer.
The Three Rivers Petroglyph Site is about 30 miles north of Alamogordo. Here is an example of one of the 21,000 glyphs scratched into the rocks, dating back between 900 and 1400 AD. I consider this a "must see" for anyone visiting south central New Mexico.
