Stand up comedy is just one of the many career options I rejected, mainly becaue of crippling stage fright, anti-social tendencies, and an unwillingness to work for 20 dollars a night.

On the plus side this might be a good thing. I'm certain his "Mom" wouldn't buy him Long Island Ice Teas, or straight up Bourbon as a "Good Luck" before the show gesture, then delight in his performance of passing out on stage.
