Karie and Dominic are a pair of lust-driven characters.

Dominic is always searching for more power, preferring to avoid relationships and commitments in order to achieve what it was he desires.

Karie is an emotional wreck, but she has found herself swept up in Dominic's allure. She gave into him, despite a great many things working against her.

While they're not an official couple, they engage in sexual behavior and spend quite a bit of time together. Will anything come of it? Probably not. But, there's nothing wrong with living in the moment.
