Another supplementary informational pamphlet put out by the Ministries of Inter-Sentient Affairs, Public Instruction and Community Relations to roundly demystify the Diamond Dogs who are part of Equestria. The specificiity matters, as it does not address the Diamond Dogs who live in the Equestrian-allied Aegeman Sea, who have derived their own number system with their bovine countryfolk. This pamphlet looks at the numbers used by the (highly technical) Diamond Dogs, their system of noting time, and some very basic mathematics. Peace and learning are the ultimate end of this generous offering of the Equestrian State.

Another thing I cooked up because I was moved by my burning disdain for Fall of Equestria, which destroyed a beautiful Socialist welfare state and also turned Diamond Dogs into mono-gendered, dull-witted, misogynistic blackface/brownface/yellowface/redface/wrong-kind-of-whiteface stooges and monsters. Worldbuilding is my method of rebellion, my middle finger to Creepy McCreeperson of Creepton Manor, on the creep train line from Creepburg where folk drink creep nectar out of creepy shells. (Sorry, I modified a Psych quote towards the end.) But yes, worldbuilding.

As I've attempted to establish, the Dogs just love angles and show them off at every chance.
And yes, I know well the world-building-as-opposition used by those with something to say. There's a reason that "Utopian Literature" was once categorized with sci-fi, fantasy and horror.

Well, the reason that's been on my mind is cus I've been following the Hugo-awards controversy, the antics of Vox Day et. al. And a lot of it boils down to "man, science fiction used to be about adventure and fun and now all that wins Hugos is these stories about social issues. Clearly this is av evil leftist plot!" I'm just looking at this whole mess and going "when has science fiction ever NOT been about social issues? What kind of alternative dimension are these people from?"
Well, it's not just him this time around, but a whole bunch of conservative science fiction writers and assorted people who are terribly mad that the audience for their hobby has expanded beyond ageing straght white men, thus depriving them of an oppertunity to feel unduly superior to other people...

It seemed so obvious that I forot to include it. But yes, it smacks disgustingly of boththe racism and classism of paternalistic Victorian "White Man's Burden" stuff. Except it's not the condescending head-patting and culture erasure, they're using them as a kind of sexual boogeyman, devoid of sensual and emotional depth, just beasts or puppets. Ponies and Caribou are the only "real" people, and then only males.
