Bust Comish - Wolf's Shadow
~~~
Realistic Shaded Bust Commission for
WolfenShadow featuring Verik, the wolf-dragon!
Oh man, that fur, man, that fur... O.o Was a ton of work, but I'm super happy with it! Overall, definitely one of my favourite busts done recently. This cute little guy served as a nice face reference: http://images.fineartamerica.com/im.....fornarotto.jpg Anthropomorphized to fit the character, though, obviously.
Thanks, Wolfen! Hope ya like!
Thank you! ^^ Like I told Heesh, the goal is to start working with Lineless pieces more often and further refine and experiment with these techniques. I just need to take that next step and work from the beginning without lines. This guy here is my most recent example of these experiments: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16562319/ I gotta say, though, I feel like I've been learning exponentially with each piece like this I do!
Yep! I try to start with a really neat sketch, then as I add shading, I gradually lower the opacity of the sketch until I can completely hide it, and I refine the details from there. It's super weird at the beginning of the shading though, haha. I still need to get used to it.
Wallah, no, I love my job! It's dangerous and the training unforgiving at times, but it's the most rewarding thing to be in control of such a powerful machine, doing a maneuver and looking up the see the curve of the earth gracefully arcing into your visual from a loop, ahhh.
